  1. IS IT TIME?

If my last name was GM, I would spend my gold on a solenoid valve train, and leapfrog everyone with infinite cam timing and multiple valves on an LT1 block to save development cost. That will be a game changer. Think of the reduced reciprocating weight and friction loss advantage, just have to...
  2. Why not? GT350 w/Nitrous Express [UPDATE: First GT350 in the 10's!!]

There is always a battle between the shops to be the first to 10's, 9's, etc. It sells parts. I would like to see a more natural progression myself, but the boys have to battle first.
  3. IS IT TIME?

It would have been done 10 years ago. Some just have a lack of vision.
  4. IS IT TIME?

If my last name was Ford, we would have a big block big bore coyote and the chevy boys would need to bring their own oxygen to run next to me. We need at a minimum to match and preferably exceed them stock and modified.
  5. IS IT TIME?

That motor was just a few years too late to the party, a set of 4 valve coyote type heads on an aluminum 6.2 block, another knockout. I bet there is a set or two of those heads out there too. The heads would flow like a hurricane on that big bore beast.
  6. IS IT TIME?

They one off-ed one about 13 years ago with a 4 valve 4.6 and it was bad-ass. It would be better than the 5.4/.8 because of architecture, but yeah, it wont happen, its all going to 6's and 4's soon. Sucks cause the tooling is there to do it, or was. We wouldn't be neck and neck if they would...
  7. MMR's New S550 Pro Mod - Looking for the 5's with new Billet Coyote Block!!

Nice, the wonders of CNC, that program must be a mile long. How many set-up's does it take to finish a block like that? Probably a few days of flying chips at least. Now how about a 600 cubic inch 4.9 ctr to ctr spread bore coyote and a set of billet voodoo heads to match, probably just about...
  8. IS IT TIME?

They need to add 2 more cylinders to the coyote, drop the deck to give us about 6 liters.......its doable as all the V-10 tooling could be put to use for pennies on the dollar and then the domination would be undeniable. And move to a trans axle like the vette to even out the f/r bias/
  9. Next GT-500 rumored to have V-6 engine

When the last V8 rolls out the fall of the west will be in full swing. Too many damn rules.
  10. Oil filter cutaway @ 1300 miles

Woah, you definitely want to get rid of all those burrs before you proceed, I hate to say it, but that looks like poor machining (factory) to me. Cracks can propagate from rough edges also, so you are on a good path.
  11. Why not? GT350 w/Nitrous Express [UPDATE: First GT350 in the 10's!!]

These 350's just don't like the 1/4, that first gear hill is starting to look like an obstacle. 4.3's anyone? What clutch you going to go with?
  12. Hennessey 2016 Shelby GT350 HPE800 Supercharged Upgrade

I wouldn't force induction this car, seems out of character for it, drag race it, yeah, intake exhaust tune, most definitely, and please Ford, make a rear end from the factory that doesn't wheel hop already.
  13. Hennessey 2016 Shelby GT350 HPE800 Supercharged Upgrade

Yeah, pitch change at 7500, and launched like his grandma was riding with him.
  14. 582hp/442lb-ft from factory, what do I need to do?

Yeah, guess I'm going to have to look else where for my 350 mod fix.
  15. Why not? GT350 w/Nitrous Express [UPDATE: First GT350 in the 10's!!]

How about getting some 4.30 gears hobbed up for this rear end, seems like its been out long enough now for some gears to become available.
  16. Oil filter cutaway @ 1300 miles

You have to go through the babbit to get to copper, if you see copper your dead.
  17. Z/28 vs. GT0350R MT track competition

Also remember you are looking at a sample of one, and that one of the cars posted a 7% drive-train loss while the other did industry "expected", and they were run on an obscure track by magazine standards in the heat on 91 octane. If the chevy boys want to hang their hats on that, fine, I think...
  18. 600 hp 5.2 voodoo

I think it will still be unique, only more so. And better. It almost looks like they tried to make the engine sound more crossplane like with the stock layout, and then the x pipe which is a bit redundant on a flat plane. Seems like a confused layout to me. I think it will get higher pitched and...
  19. 600 hp 5.2 voodoo

Oh man, that is my retirement dream, play all day in a well outfitted shop.
