Joe I just saw your post, I was the #45 car! Great to meet you and see another young guy out there driving his Mustang at the track. I'm sure I will see you back out at Summit or hopefully VIR sometime soon.
Thanks, that seems like it would work out nicely..1/2" preload with the 400lb springs in the rear is just too low IMO. I have factory halfshafts so no clearance issues.
Also, what have you all torqued the center top nut on the front coilover to - that wasn't mentioned in the Ridetech...
I just wrapped up the install of my Ridetech Level 2's. For those interested in the set, give Sharad at UPR a call and he can set you up with a great deal.
I went with the 350F/400R springs and per the baseline instructions adjusted the spring collars to 1/4" preload front, 1/2" preload rear...
Have you installed the dzus fasteners on your APR splitter yet? I like that idea to be able to remove it quickly for street use. Just curious as to which fasteners you used if you had already done this.
I've had the auto-blip installed since last summer and it works amazing at the track. While I can heel-toe, I too am a novice so it has been a very helpful tool to have. I'm able to brake harder with more confidence and consistency and not unsettle the car with a botched downshift than I...
Can anyone recommend a good paint shop in the NoVa area? Im looking to get my Steeda race wing painted once it arrives this week and wasn't sure what to expect pricing wise.
Unfortunately I don't believe there is a wiring harness to power the seats in a factory Recaro equipped car (only for airbags).
You will have no problem putting the Recaros in your car (I did the same with mine), but again there is no factory wiring harness in the Recaro equipped cars to...
The ball hex would have allowed you to pivot the socket at an angle to get the clearance you needed. I could imagine it being pretty frustrating without the tool!
A set of ball hex sockets are what you needed - definitely no need to remove the alternator with the proper tools. I struggled with that bolt as well until I bought this set...
I liked it, just preferred the BMR brace. I haven't pushed the car on the road course yet with the new brace installed, but I doubt there would be a huge difference in feel (if any)...just personal preference really.
Selling a lightly used Steeda G-trac brace which has been on the car for about 4,000 miles. No scratches or bottoming out on this at all. Due to the size, I will give preference to local buyers in the DC area. Price is $100 picked up in Arlington, VA or if I do not find a local buyer I will ship...
Selling two black Schroth Rallye 4 ASM Harnesses along with the optional black harness pads. These were purchased directly from Schroth for over $440 last year and were only installed in the car for 3 HPDE events. I have since purchased a HANS device so I opted to replace with the Schroth...
Just finished installing mine. Quality is excellent as always with BMR. Maybe I got unlucky with how severely my frame holes were stamped, but holy hell I spent about 2 hrs wrestling those spacers in with a pry bar/BFH/screwdriver.
Hopefully well worth the struggle - if I didn't have an...
This is an interesting solution. I've got the ACC and want to add the customcargrills SWAT mesh kit to a set of the lower fang grills. Any further details you can give on which adjustments were necessary to make the ACC sensor work would be very helpful.
