  1. Steeds its support bushings and diff bushings red

I can take a screenshot from Live Link. See below running 91 tune on 94 octane fuel. Notes: Originally Bama was seeing the knock while reviewing my track logs. As a result they asked if I was running any transmission bushings/braces. At that time I was running a 93 tune on 94 octane fuel...

  3. Steeds its support bushings and diff bushings red

Finally popped out the the Steeda tranmission bushing. It was the cause of 90% of the NVH, in fact, so much so that it was triggering the knock sensor. Now all I hear is gear whine from the rear end with black bushings.
  4. Trying to eliminate excessive wheel hop @ the track (w/video)

Couldn't resist, put them in today! Back to the track on Friday. Honestly, I couldn't believe how shitty the Ford links were. Total garbage. Also, you'll see from the last photo why I was questioning longevity of these links in another thread. Only 5K on the car so far.
  5. Trying to eliminate excessive wheel hop @ the track (w/video)

I think the car was a early 80s Buick Skylark or Oldsmobile Cutlass. People will use just about anything as a platform for their project racer, especially if it'll take a Chevy small block.
  6. Trying to eliminate excessive wheel hop @ the track (w/video)

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback and clip.
  7. Trying to eliminate excessive wheel hop @ the track (w/video)

It seems as though everyone's experience is different when it comes to wheel hop and the S550 platform. I created this post to share mine, so other's could compare theirs. Just to be clear, the suspension isn't entirely stock. I have installed Steeda's progressive springs, differential bushing...
  8. Steeda or BMR - Vertical link question

Thanks for the update. I'm thinking about waiting for a solution before I do the install, being that I'm in a harsh Canadian climate more than a few months of the year.
  9. Steeda or BMR - Vertical link question

Maybe I missed it, but did BMR respond to the quoted post with which Seals-It (size, part #) should be used for the ends of the vertical links?
  10. Bama and new tuning revisions? Can it be so?

Thanks for chiming in here Alex. All is good here, thanks. There's no doubt in my mind that as Bama sees more and more cars their tunes on this generation will get better and better, up to a point. I agree, with the "if it ain't broke" theory entirely. Even I was pretty hesitant to re-flash...
  11. Bama and new tuning revisions? Can it be so?

Just don't hold your breath while waiting for a response, I waited a month. That being said, I didn't put put any added pressure on them to get a quicker response either.
  12. Bama and new tuning revisions? Can it be so?

I sent some data logs to Bama about a month ago due to some idling concerns, they got back to me yesterday stating that they've made a lot of revisions since their V2 tunes with accompanied by the updated files. I flashed the car back to stock, updated the X4 and reflashed to the updated 93...
  13. Steeda or BMR - Vertical link question

That was precisely the question that started this thread in the first place. In the end I went with the option that seemed to be the "biggest bang for the buck" solution.
  14. JLT CAI withOUT a tune?

My mustang wouldn't even idle without the tune change. It'd start and choke out.
  15. Steeds its support bushings and diff bushings red

I'll try to capture what I can, but it'll be difficult to capture the vibration during light to moderate acceleration that's being transferred into the cabin. I have aftermarket exhaust as well, so I don't think it's a masking effect. I'd be more inclined to think that however smooth or...
  16. Steeds its support bushings and diff bushings red

I have the black ones installed and I'm hearing and feeling EVERYTHING, including gear whine and torsen clicks that I wasn't even aware was there before! That said, I installed the differential, subframe and transmission bushings all at the same time. It could be the combo of all 3.
  17. Equalizer settings for the radio?

Sirius by nature sounds terrible. It's equivalent to 64-96kbit mp3.
  18. Best winter tires available

I haven't put weight in the trunk since my '90 5.0. Not necessary. To protect the paint, I had 3M put on the car. The front 24", headlights, rocker panels, mirrors, door handles, behind each wheel, first 6" of roof and the trunk area. It looks so good, you can't even really see it on a clean...
  19. Best winter tires available

I've heard all those comments from naysayers about needing to buy a "winter beater" throughout the years. I can only assume they're just horrible drivers. For the record, I drove my Mustang GT PP all winter. Purchased 19in "winter wheels" and rode on a 255/40/19 square setup which were Michelin...
