People are "so tired" of the manual vs auto debates. What the heck are you on a car forum for? So we can all agree Mustangs are no better than a Kia or a Chevy or a Yugo or a Rolls Royce? That the EcoBoost is just as good as the V8? Or that drum brakes are equal to discs?
There's nothing wrong...
So this thread is called "why DIDN'T you get a camaro?
I guess a reasonable question to ask: was it ever even in the running? How many people considered alternate vehicles before settling on the Mustang? I'll admit I briefly considered a Challenger with a Hemi and a stick, mostly because they...
This might offend some...but I feel the styling of the current Camaro, ever since it was resurrected, has not been great. The interior has never been great either, from some weird placement of vents and touchscreen to just not being able to see out of it very well. That said, the performance is...
Stiffer springs will never help ride quality over bumps. I mean, my F-350 dually has some pretty stiff springs, but it rides like crap.
Magnaride is in place of shock absorbers / dampers / struts or however you want to describe them. The shocks are what control the body motion up and down, and...
No magnaride on my GT, and mine came with the 265x35x20 rims with Eagle F1 Asymmetric tires. Car rides like crap and tramlines on rough pavement. Doesn't bother me a bit...spent 5 hours in the car yesterday and it was great.
I'm curious how durable the stock clutch in an S550 GT is. Is there a difference between the 2015-2017 and 2018+ models? Can these clutches stand up to burnouts or hard launches? I am well aware that, generally speaking, abusive use will eventually destroy any clutch but I'm curious what...
I just bought a leftover new 2020 GT Premium 6MT a few weeks ago. It had a $45k MSRP and I got about 10% off. The next nearest Ford dealer was trying to sell a leftover 2020 EcoBoost base for $1k over MSRP.
My decision was not based upon sound financial reasoning, but rather the rapidly...
I know this is old, but just to clarify, the 6.7L Ford diesel hydraulic lash adjustment has absolutely zero in common with Ford's gas engines. The diesel engine is a 32 valve V8, but only has one camshaft location in the engine valley, and uses 16 massive roller lifters with dual pushrods...
We had a 2011 F-150 5.0L engine. It used some oil, pretty acceptable. Probably in the 1qt / 5k miles range. No issues, ever. Engine always sounded good. Traded at 60k for a 2016 F-150 with the small EcoBoost. But missed the sound of the V8, so traded for a 2018 with the 10 speed and 5.0L.
This...
Oh, I didn't realize it was an automatic car. Maybe the accelerator is programmed differently? My manual feels fine; Sport+ seems to make it very responsive.
Just switch to Sport+ mode...it front loads the gas pedal to make it "feel" more responsive. In other words, it's doing the same thing something like Pedal Commander would do.
It's a nice feature, and probably saves the clutch and synchros more than even a human trying their best.
I do understand what you are saying and lament the automation of previous skills, however it's kind of like having a back up camera when you need to hookup to a trailer and refusing to use it.
I have a 2020 Mustang GT premium which claims to have 9 speakers and an amplifier. It's not horrible, but it certainly isn't great. Leaving the Sync head unit alone, what can be done to improve the sound? Just replace the 6.5" speakers in the door bottoms and the rear decklid? Where is the...
Love my car. I'm a millennial at the old end of that spectrum, but I can see the writing on the wall in terms of gas powered vehicles, and manual transmissions. I've wanted one of these for a long time; the S550 is the most beautiful Mustang ever made except perhaps the original. I'm going to...
I've only had my car one week today, 550 miles on the clock now, and it's my first Mustang. But I've owned a lot of other cars and I tend to nitpick.
Dislikes:
-The 2018+ front end is not quite as beautiful as the 2015-2017 front end
-Mode reverts to normal instead of staying in Sport
-Non...
