  1. A $2 Billion Loss Spells Trouble in Dearborn

Who is tightening? The Fed has stopped buying the debt and started letting it roll off but the government is still pumping money(debt) out like crazy. What is the interest payment on 31T at 4%? 5%? 8%? I am standing firm with history that this is the 1st inning of the realized inflation fight...
  2. Paint removed in accident, any recommendations?

I am going to bet some of the bumper clips are busted and maybe more damage than meets the eye. Have it looked at. It’s difficult for 2 cars to meet and not break plastic.
  3. A $2 Billion Loss Spells Trouble in Dearborn

I agree completely. Sadly how long you last as CEO has a lot more to do with how happy you make Wall Street Vs. How well you actually run a company. It’s a strange place in this cycle. I am old enough to remember when GAP was a thing. Wonder what the lens would reveal?
  4. A $2 Billion Loss Spells Trouble in Dearborn

Is it just me or does Ford plus sound like the beginning of the subscription model? “significant opportunities to expand capabilities and generate returns from software-enabled gas-powered and electric vehicles.” And this. Fired is the word that comes to mind. A CEO’s biggest role in this day...
  5. First disaster - snapped hood bolt

Edit. Found what I was looking for. Use one of these. Grind to length. https://www.mcmaster.com/barrel-nuts/
  6. Cars you regret not buying

2001 Saturn Aztec Salesman was even going to throw in the tent package. Still have the poster on my wall. Couldn’t get financing. Sometimes I cry a little before bed about that one.
  7. Brembo front brakes and rotors question

Thank god they changed that. Can standard rotors be changed over without new calibers? The base brakes (before 22) pull air from the front of the rotor on the wheel side. Brembos pull the air from the back. Brakes are just big fans. Base brakes cook because they can’t get clean air.
  8. Brembo front brakes and rotors question

The factory rotors are reverse hat (can be called either way)and the Brembo rotors are standard hat rotors. That is why the factor brakes cook. No air flow.
  9. How much undercarriage wear is normal?

I always love a happy ending.
  10. Do not lubricate the o-ring on the oil filter ???

BTW OP if you want to avoid the mess just put some aluminum foil under the filter at an angel and bend it to stay put. Unscrew the filter and let it drain down the aluminum foil and when it slows remove it. This method works to perfection for me.
  11. Do not lubricate the o-ring on the oil filter ???

Ford writes manuals for Ford techs not for us. It is one less step in the process. 5 second process a million times a year save a lot of money. My math says that saves them around 40k a year excluding one step. It’s all about the money. KZ already said it makes zero difference since oil is...
  12. How much undercarriage wear is normal?

That car looks like a massive upgrade from the other one. You might also try Granger Ford on this form. I have heard nothing but good things about them. They can spec you out one for order since you are right up against new car prices. This car for instance would be around 41.4K brand new with...
  13. How much undercarriage wear is normal?

Run from that one. Registered as personal vehicle. Lease bought out by manufacturer? Almost a lemon? Records will tell the story The loan company on the carfax is a high risk company. Also it’s been modified. Anyone that installs calibers on a car most likely install a lot more stuff.
  14. Next mod? 2020 GT Premium

Probably racing strips or a summit sticker. You have hit the wall on cost per HP. Cobra jet intake would help average hp but probably wouldn’t do much for peak numbers.
  15. Knock Knock. Who’s there? Rod.

Hi my name is Wally and I own a service station right outside of Mt. Pilot. My first step is always to turn on the heater to see if it cools the car down. If that doesn’t fix it head on down and we will get you checked out. Address is 625 S. Main St., Mount Airy, North Carolina
  16. Brand New And Broke

If a problem like this isn’t caught at the right QC station it just rolls on even if it is caught later. Ford knows the cost. Ford knows how many bad radiators are acceptable from X supplier. Ford has all the information and uses it to maximizes profit. Also an extended warranty is just an...
  17. Suction cup bike Rack.

I have heard they are solid but I still can’t get over the downside if they decide today is the day. Suction cups are somewhat temperature sensitive. Cold morning to hot day can cause problems. Loading on a nice car is almost a 2 person job. It can be done with one person but the margin of...
  18. Corvette Z06 GT3.R

    Yep. That’s bad ass.
  19. Covid vaccinations stopped for under 50 and other science updates

Bro not liking the innuendo. We have no clue what is causing these problems put scientist are 100% sure what it is not. If you can’t trust a company that has paid the largest criminal healthcare fraud settlement in history who can you trust? People need to toe the line and stop asking all...
  20. Girlfriend mode toggle?

My girlfriend doesn’t like fast cars or loud exhaust. I met her after I bought the mustang. I found the easiest solution is to replace the girlfriend.
