  1. Putting A10 back in auto mode with paddles

Just found out holding the downshift paddle in S on the shifter will put the car back in auto shifting mode without hitting the shifter. Aka gear light goes away in cluster. I have never seen or read this anywhere.
  2. Mustang GT vs ... (Post whatever you've raced and how it went)

Just go straight to E and throw a pulley on. Rip his face off.
  3. Police Impound Car 30 Seconds After Purchase

Not wrong. Court cost add up quick though.
  4. Police Impound Car 30 Seconds After Purchase

Who buys insurance anyways? The key is just to not wreck.
  5. Ford Stops Building Sticky-Tire Mustangs Every Winter

That’s awesome. Good to hear a success story. Hope you are enjoying the car.
  6. 2020 gt premium with 3.15s worth it ?

That’s the traction control working. I run factory PS4s and can light them up in first at will. Turn off the traction control and punch it in first.
  7. 2020 gt premium with 3.15s worth it ?

I could see where 4.09 to 3.15 would save some time. That at least one shift and maybe even two. Somewhere between .05-.25 in shift time alone. A converter would further negate the difference. A drop in air filter will add ~5 hp. Full 3” exhaust I could see adding 3-5 hp. 1% bump is not hard...
  8. 2020 gt premium with 3.15s worth it ?

3.55 seem to be faster at the track but the 3.15 will hook up on the street much better. 1st gear is pretty much worthless with the 3.55s. The 3.15 will get some use out of first launching the car. In my opinion the difference is negligible with the A10.
  9. Ford Stops Building Sticky-Tire Mustangs Every Winter

Of course they would look to the accountants to make certain decisions but we have a history on these engines of 3-5 years depending on model. Nothing like that seems to be taking place in the longer term. Just think about what the average test drive of a sports car is like. If it caused damage...
  10. Ford Stops Building Sticky-Tire Mustangs Every Winter

I don’t know the exact wording for the break in procedure but It basically says don’t go to fast. I believe it has more to do with making sure all the bolts are tight and nothing is going to fail at high speeds then it does breaking in the engine. If break in could be detrimental to the engine...
  11. Cumstang

Just because we can doesn’t mean we should. Pretty awesome project though.
  12. 10R80 not getting up to temp

These trans take forever to warm up in colder temps. Ford used an ultra low viscosity fluid (ulv) and the side effect is slow warm up. In colder temps I have to go to manual and rev the car to get it to heat up. My trans acts funny below 120 when getting on it. I think a large amount of the...
  13. Noticed brief puff of blue smoke today on startup, only the fourth startup since FR PP2 install...

Just normal car smoke. The PCV pulls oil in from the crankcase and recycles it. The oil can set in puddles inside the intake or PCV line and upon startup it pulls it though the engine. Nothing out of the ordinary.
  14. Best Long Block for FI?

93 octane and 12:1 don’t mix. Many get away with it for awhile. Eventually it will bite you. Timing chains don’t break very often so I would think something else caused it. I would look bet it was knock related.
  15. How big of a difference betwen pro tune (email) vs Off the shelf tunes (ots)? Want opinions from Ecoboost and 5.0 owners

OTS tunes have to be safe and reliable for a large amount of vehicles. That means a lot gets left on the table to get that safety margin Custom tunes can compile all the specific vehicle information to be both safe and reliable. This gives good performance as well as a good safety margin...
  16. Steering Issue/Steering Modes/Losing Control

There are many things it could be but the first is always alignment. Tow out will cause the car to basically hyperactively want to turn. If it’s this bad I would guess damage to the front suspension. Could be a simple ball joint.
  17. 18+ P1X Swapped Fox, How much Boost?

I was talking about N/A. With the blower high 8s with traction shouldn’t be a to hard to accomplish. All about getting the weight down in those cars.
  18. Transmission failure at 9600 miles, lost reverse months ago and dealer says not warranty for clutch in pieces

Push for the engine replacement for the A/C butchery. That is a high vibration system and the fix will fail and might not be repairable later. There is a reason Ford doesn’t allow it. Also push for a new trans and clutch. The wear warranty doesn’t cover normal wear. Failure is NOT considered...
