I would like to see it color-matched for a more integrated look. Right now, it's the cheapest looking part of the exterior. I think there would need to be carbon fiber elsewhere on the car to pull that look off. Otherwise it's an odd place to have the only piece of CF on the car.

Are manufacturers required to maintain a certain level of traction control on cars now? Or is the risk that the car defaults to sport mode and someone sues Ford thinking that they had the full protection of normal mode by default?

Does normal driving mode offer better fuel economy than Sport+ or Track Mode, all else being equal? If not, I don't really see the benefit of using normal mode. It just makes the car feel sluggish and underpowered.

for the uninitiated, what exactly do detail sprays do?

After about 3,000 miles, some of the leather panels on my driver seat cushion have become kind of wavy and stretched out. Seems like they should stay taut a lot longer than that. I've seen cars with 100,000+ miles that have firmer looking leather.

I guess I meant more the look wouldn't be deviating from Mustang tradition since it was used in early models. I would hope that the quality of most other interior materials has improved since 1965 (like using leather rather than vinyl, and better quality plastics).

Doesn't the air bag deploy from under or above the aluminum strip now? I don't see how aluminum is any better than wood from a crash safety perspective, particularly since real wood is used in plenty of cars with good safety ratings.
