  1. CoverKing Seat Covers?

Does anyone here have any experience with the fit and quality of Coverking leatherette seat covers? I'd like to get a reasonably priced custom fit seat cover that I can install myself.
  2. For the MT owners: how do you downshift?

So how can you downshift without rev matching? Are people just slowly letting out/slipping the clutch and gradually letting the revs increase? I thought that was one of the worst things you could do in terms of wearing out a clutch prematurely?
  3. Turning off the screen in Premium models

I have been there and dimmed it but did not see the turn screen off option. Do I just touch the screen to turn it back on then?
  4. Turning off the screen in Premium models

Is there a way to totally turn off the screen in the Premium models? I like the cabin dark when I'm driving at night, and the dim modes don't help much. Is there any way to totally turn off the screen?
  5. 2016 Mustang Ecoboost Pony Package spotted

Ruby Red would make it the ultimate Lincoln package.
  6. May 2015 Mustang Sales

While I'm glad it's selling well, I'll miss having one of the only ones on the road. I've still seen only a handful of S550s in my area since I got mine in December.
  7. Mustang Customizer is live

It seems to be very slow. Are these actual options? Like the chrome paint? How is this different than build and price?
  8. EcoBoost vs. Pre-Coyote GT?

Thanks, Dave, I'm enjoying mine! Glad you joined the forum to contribute with these helpful posts!

  10. 2016 Mustang Press Release - New Packages, Options & Features

It's already on the LE models, so it might already be available as a part.
  11. 2016 Mustang Press Release - New Packages, Options & Features

The Pony Package has a chrome window surround and side stripes, so the one in the photos can't be it.
  12. Ecoboost Pony Package

Don't think that's it. The press release says that the Pony Package has the chrome window surround and side stripe, which this does not have. Whatever that is in the photos, 0/10 would not buy.
  13. 2015 EcoBoost Mustang: Pony With A Power Problem (Jalopnik review)

So everyone was fine with the performance of the Mustang GT in 2005-2010, and now that the V6 and I4 Mustang engines are producing pretty comparable torque and power to those pre-Coyote GTs, suddenly 300+ HP/TQ isn't good enough for everyone? I don't think expectations have changed that much in...
  14. 2017 Ford Mustang will outperform Chevy Camaro in every way

And that's still better than the EcoBoost because V8 /s
  15. 2017 Ford Mustang will outperform Chevy Camaro in every way

Except for the fact that the Mustang has been offered with a V6 or I4 from day one and every year since then. There was even a year (1978, I believe) where a V8 wasn't even offered in the Mustang. That's like trying to disregard the existence 320i, 328i, and 335i and say that the M3 is the...
  16. EcoBoost vs. Pre-Coyote GT?

Agreed. I think most of us here prefer the styling and interior of the S550 over the S197, otherwise we wouldn't be on this forum. The S550 is the first Mustang (other than the 1st gen) that I've been interested in, as I've never really cared for the styling of any Mustang from the 2nd...
  17. EcoBoost vs. Pre-Coyote GT?

With power, torque, 0-60, and quarter mile figures so similar, I don't know how you could not compare these two engines. I think some people just don't want to admit that their engine can be beat by another engine with fewer cylinders and smaller displacement, and they somehow feel threatened...
  18. EcoBoost vs. Pre-Coyote GT?

If the topic doesn't interest you, just ignore it. Or point me to a previous thread where these two models were compared, because I didn't see one. I'm not trying to create some sort of divide between Mustang owners here, just curious how the two models would compare in real life.
  19. EcoBoost vs. Pre-Coyote GT?

The EcoBoost and the 4.6L Modular V8 Mustangs appear very similar on paper, so wondering if anyone has any actual experience or thoughts about these two in terms of straight line acceleration. Which is faster?
  20. Fuel Economy and Driving Modes

OP here, I have a manual and I probably shift at roughly the same points no matter what mode I'm driving in. However, I probably accelerate somewhat faster with Sport+ mode given the sensitivity of the throttle, so it seems reasonable that it would consume more fuel due to faster acceleration...
