  2. Broke the front mounts on my differential tonight at the track

Got the differential pulled out and looks like the end of the drive shaft that connects to the diff flange has some kind of universal ball joint. Well, it's totally fubar and spins. That explains all the grease getting ejected from it. It also explains why the car wouldn't move in forward or...
  3. Broke the front mounts on my differential tonight at the track

Yeah, I ordered a 3.55 diff and an automatic flange to convert it. Thanks
  4. Broke the front mounts on my differential tonight at the track

So took a trip up to Northstar Dragway in Denton to test out my new Baer drag brakes. I only got one good pass before all hell broke loose. On my second pass, car hooked insanely hard then around the end of the 60 it sounded like Id broken the driveshaft. Got towed home and put up the car...

  8. Double pumping brakes after new fluid and pads

    Capri Vacuum Bleeder https://www.amazon.com/Capri-Tools-Vacuum-Brake-Bleeder/dp/B00OM751EC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1524051235&sr=8-3&keywords=capri+vacuum+brake+bleeder
  9. Double pumping brakes after new fluid and pads

I just changed out the brakes calipers, rotors and brake pads on all four corners and didn't need to do this. I did use a Vacuum brake bleeder - pretty bad ass one too. It sucks out all the air from the master cylinder through the bleeder screw on each caliper. My brakes feel fine. Tony
  10. Baer Front & Rear Drag Brakes installed

So going on Day 4 driving with these brakes. They're starting to bite harder. They feel like they're about 80% of the stopping power of the factory brakes. I haven't really laid hard into them yet, though. The biggest gripe I can see I'm going to have is the damn brake dust. There's already a...
  11. Baer Front & Rear Drag Brakes installed

I never used it with an automatic. Of course Dallas is pretty flat. If I lived in a very hilly area, it could be an issue - especially if I had a manual. Tony
  12. 2018 GT BBQ Ticking (typewriter) Noise

Here's a suggestion, don't worry about it. It really doesn't affect the performance or longevity of the car so it's pointless to stress over it. My car makes the noise and I could care less. It runs great and it's been making the noise for over 32000 miles. The previous mustang I had did it too...
  13. Baer Front & Rear Drag Brakes installed

Just finished the install on my car. I used Goodridge Stainless steel brake lines. Overall, pretty straight forward job. I had a Capri Vacuum Bleeder which made the job much easier. The weight/size difference on the front was significant. I can see how these save a 100lbs between the front &...
  14. Massive Drivetrain Vibration

Really easy is not having to do it at all :P Tony
  15. Massive Drivetrain Vibration

Prime reason not to get a KB blower. Yes, I own a whipple but the sole reason I bought it was because of silliness like this. The other downside to KB is having to take the inlet apart to change spark plugs. Tony
  16. FRPP Axles Installed

I got a great deal from Don Wood Ford on a set of FRPP Axles for $1569 out the door. They're rated to 1500HP and look great! These guys are the cheapest for Ford Racing parts.Don Wood Ford It took around 3 hours to install both sides. I simply followed the included instructions to the letter...
  17. Just finished installing part of the Steeda 'stop the hop' kit

Forgot to follow-up on this, I got the car aligned. The toe settings on the rear were all jacked up as was the camber. Had the rears set to zero degree camber and a little toe in (can't recall the exact measure). At the track, I noticed a massive difference in how quickly the car transfers...
  18. Ecoboost Brake Upgrade

Ill have some base gt calipers and rotors for front and rear soon. Im putting on some baer ssp drag brakes. Shoot me an im if your interested in buying them. Tony
  19. Built/sleeved motor failed | Any coyote experts?

I think the gasket on #4 took the brunt of the damage. Possible the rod on #4 got tweaked a little, but the rest of the motor looks pretty damn good. While it's not confirmed as the cause, I think the glow plug theory is the one that fits the best - especially in light of feedback from Brisk...
  20. Built/sleeved motor failed | Any coyote experts?

The #4 plug tip is missing but the porcelain is undamaged. It also is much whiter than the other plugs denoting the heat. These are silver plugs and that melts at a fairly lower temperature around 1600F. If that plug tip started glowing and you get light off of the a/f significantly...
