I have all the sub-components of the FP Track Suspension Package - M-FR3A-M8A, except:
- Performance Pack Rear Toe Link Kit (M-5972-M)
- Knuckle to Toe Link Bearing Assembly (M-5A460-M)
Do I need them? Should I include them?
I have a stock 19 GT Auto (non-PP). I searched many threads on the...
From post 106 in this thread:
“In order to put the plastic piece in you would have to pull the whole dash out of the car to do. The hardest part is the two bolts in the engine compartment due to the windshield wiper stuff and plastic cowl piece that is glued on in our convertible cars.”
On non-mag models, no suspension changes. Sport+ and Track mode change to Sport steering. I forget if drag mode changes steering. Normal and rain/snow mode = normal steering mode
I "feel" that the S+ is more refined in the shifting, both up/down, than just S on the sifter. My A10 sometimes hunts for the right gear in S. S+ (toggle) seems to be dialed in a bit more. My opinion however.
Also S+ toggles to sport steering and to sport exhaust mode too, if you have it...
Thanks for the swift reply!
I am assuming the they are as they are mild "street" level - but cannot find a source to verify.
If anyone knows, please chime in.
I'll give Ford Performance a call in the next few days too.
Yes. I converted to the 8 inch, and just thought the switch would just be “dead”
I had no idea I could get it to actually work. I’m really digging the modes, especially the sport +. I already had the active exhaust too, so the modes tweak that too! I consider it a big bonus of the conversion!
I didn't check for pinching. I'll have to re-visit that. Thanks.
I did notice the slight mis-alignment of the duct work to PP dash, but was hoping the foam seal would do the job. Perhaps a larger foam seal would do most of it. It's been super hot here, and the two vents are blowing nice and...
Just as a follow up:
I test fitted everything without the middle vent blocked an found quite a bit of climate, in my case A/C, "leaking" out the top and bottom of the dash panel around the gauges. You could feel cold air vented up toward the windshield and down toward the radio display. The...
Well the longer version of the story is I had a long discussion with two mechanics there who work on their GTs, GT 350s and GT 350Rs. We had a long discussion about suspensions, springs, etc. so they knew what they were doing.
On the way out, when I was paying for the work, I asked casually...
That's why I asked, Walmart has Mobil 1 5w30 at $23 for 5 x 2 = $50 with tax? $10 for the filter?

I'm trying to factor in the PITA factor of jacking car, dripping filter on suspension/exhaust/frame...
I have new 19 GT, and I'm curious what people are paying (and where) for a full synthetic oil change? I just brought my Mustang into a local Ford dealer for lowering springs and alignment and asked about what they charged. They said, "about $120" bur we not sure/exact. The car only has 200...
Assuming the 4-hole dash panel has the original fitting left and right vent bezels, and the right bezel wasn’t loose (or tight) in the original PP donor car, i.e no fit issues, I would guess the trimming needs to be addressed.
You can’t really do anything about the spacing on the panel itself.
Both vents? left of gauge or right gauges only?
Did you trim enough from the dash backing in that vent area?
I know that sounds simple, but is also the most obvious, as it fit prior.
I say that because I “under” cut the sub dash at first to make sure I didn’t cut too much out permanently...
I live in the Cape and drive up to Brandon Ford in Tampa. Great selection, great prices, no BS, in and out in 30 min. PM me for the internet sales guy I delt with - if you want. I bought a month ago and they were easy. Again, great price.
They also do Roush, aftermarket, superchargers, etc. I...
Damn straight. I just bought one from a bloke across the pond. They are old school Mustang as many generations had a round GT fake gas cap emblem. Classic
