  1. Got private cash after order placed

I've ordered a bunch of brochures since December and haven't received one yet either.
  2. Went to see my new ride today

It's good that you looked it over well; most people would be so excited and lose perspective in the moment. Ford doesn't have the greatest paint jobs; never did, never will probably. Most dealers will try fixing it with their own paint dept. and they never get it right. I would run away from...
  3. Pricing/XPlan Questions

I've been in contact with a few dealers on a base GT the past few months and their low prices aren't all that. Two of them were tossing $500 doc. fees and $700 shipping fees into the low price. I kindly told them to not contact me any further. Only one dealer has been up front with me on OTD...
  4. tune. Can the dealer tell?

They can tell if you've had a tune; no matter how long you drive around after a reset. It will depend on the dealer if they will warranty parts of fix them for you. More likely than not they are going to fight any claims with a tune; even if it's not related. There are laws in place to...
  5. WHAT DID YOU PAY!!!

I have been looking for base GT's on autotrader and have seen base GT's as low as $27,500. The catch, that they don't mention, is that most of those low prices are for A plan pricing with incentives not available to everyone. One dealer has a base GT for $28,500 but they quoted me the same car...
  6. Best Supercharger for GT - Price/Performance/Warranty

Anybody who buys an expensive car from Hennessey and didn't do their research on his past dealings deserves what they get. A tiger doesn't change his stripes.
  7. Where will it be shown next?

I saw the GT350 and the new GT at the recent Cleveland auto show. The GT350 looked OK; don't care for the wing. I'm more excited for the powertrain. The GT looked amazing and it's definitely a nice updated design; some talking figure head from a local dealer said they will be $250,000+.
  8. STAGE 2 ProCharger Systems for 2015 Mustangs, RELEASED!

I've seen the recommendation for supercharged cars for years now. Do the hi flow cats have a better material to prevent blow-out and would eliminating the cats (for off-road use of course ;)) be even better? I would hate to spend $$$ on hi flow cats to have them blow out as well.
  9. First S550 wheel theft I've seen

I'm pretty sure if a thief wants your wheels bad he is going to get them off even with wheel locks. I'm sure there are tools to rip them off fast without the key and not damage the wheel. The locks might deter some thieves; but it's not 100% a theft-proof system.
  10. X-Plan on New Mustang

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. I'm trying to set up dealers to locate what I want and I'll make sure to tell them what I'm willing to pay. My problem so far is I'm trying to do this online. The salespeople keep asking me to stop in or give them my #. I don't have time to deal with things that...
  11. 2016 Camaro: How will Ford respond

I'd imagine Ford would have some sort of response/update if the new Camaro continues to outsell the Mustang as the current generation has much of it's run. A lighter/more powerful Camaro might put a bigger dent in Mustang sales.
  12. X-Plan on New Mustang

Does the dealer charge for getting a car from another dealer and transport?
  13. vossen vfs1 not lowered nitto invos

Those wheels look great even without the lowering. Do the rears stick out past the fender though; sort of looks like they do in the pics? Just curious.
  14. Freshly installed hood struts!

That looks great. It's a shame Ford has never put a proper set of hood struts on the Mustang.
  15. Whipple Superchargers in the house!!

While I like the idea of a warranty I can't justify spending $750-$1000 to have someone else install the kit as I can install the kit myself and no one is going to beat attention to detail on my own car. Would there ever be an option to install it yourself and get a warranty if a certified ASE...
  16. STAGE 2 ProCharger Systems for 2015 Mustangs, RELEASED!

I think black should be the default color at the standard price and make chrome extra cost. I can't think that many people want satin anyway.
  17. Color Regret ?

I'm leaning toward Guard myself though I've not seen one outside of a showroom yet. I can't think of any color other than silver which is tolerable when dirty though? :D
  18. 800 and 1400 hp halfshafts ready

I know of quite a few guys who had 03/04 Cobra's and were snapping half-shafts at the track with drag radials. Once they switched over to something like a MT ET street it eliminated the stock half-shaft snapping issues. It absorbs the shock the half-shafts would get with a drag radial. Maybe...
  19. Whipple vs Procharger

He's just making a blanket (some would say ignorant) statement out of brand loyalty and has zero facts to back it up. I'm sure you know that making safe power is all in the tune/tuner. It isn't easier to blow a motor using one supercharger or the other even with the manufacturer supplied custom...
  20. Best Supercharger for GT - Price/Performance/Warranty

Ha! I did the same thing. I trimmed a bit off the springs to eliminate the factory gap and I didn't lose any driveability. The only piece I put on to shore up the IRS was an IRS brace. I never had any wheel hop on the street or track and I was on what would be considered sub-optimal Kuhmo all...
