I'm in for updates on this kit as well.
I tried to find out information from the Procharger people on the SVT forums and no real response.
It's great the kit is already in people's hands; but Procharger doesn't provide any hard data as far as HP/TQ for even the base kit with their tune. Some...
I have every issue of MMFF since it first hit the stands; was always the best for Fox body and newer content. It sucks that print media is barely clinging to life. I feel bad that your column is going away Ken; but hopefully there are other great opportunities in the future.
I think the...
I wouldn't have a problem with a hybrid Mustang; but do we really need the Mustang gaining any more weight?
I can only imagine any hybrid tech is going to add a bunch of weight.
Congrats on the great looking GT. Thanks for the pics.
First order of business should be removing that free advertising atrocity the dealer stuck on the left rear bumper!
When I got rid of my 2003 Cobra several years back to buy a 2012 GT I heard about the 2015 and held out.
I am buying a 2015 in the spring and I'm not waiting any longer! :p
Plus I"m going to add a supercharger to the car anyway; so I won't be disappointed if they start adding power as soon as...
I agree; personal opinion has no place when companies are swapping out potential warranty cancelling parts.
I had a MGW on my 2003 Cobra I got used for $150 and it was definitely a nice piece of engineering.
I see the 2011+ models are $385 at present time and I imagine the 2015 model will be...
What are you going to do about a front plate; you mentioned Lebanon Ford so I assume you are in Ohio?
I refused to put one on my 2003 Cobra and would get pulled over at least once a month for it.
I know they make no-drill plate frames; but none I have seen look all that great.
That price is going to end up being a bit high compared to other big vendors.
When I get a 2015 next spring I'm hoping to find a Roushcharger close to the current pricing on a complete base kit, around $6k.
I would hope they are going to add oil pump gears to that list for insurance.
The price point isn't bad for someone who wants to purchase a faster 2015 now and has the money to burn.
The car looks beautiful; the photo-bombing tech not so much. :D
Congrats. and enjoy when you finally get to drive it!
Hopefully you can give some impartial driving impressions ASAP!
They said the weight was 3814 for the PP GT. I wonder how much less a base will be?
Also, are they correct in saying the old model was 196 lbs. lighter? I didn't think the 2011-2014 GT's were 36XX lbs.
I'll like to see more road tests from non-magazine people though before I pass any judgement...
I can't wait! :clap2:
I also can't believe nothing concrete has been leaked until an exact time today as specified by Ford.
I guess we don't have any hackers on par with those stealing nude celeb. pics.
I agree that the dyno was most likely manipulated to, of course, sell exhausts. There wasn't much to gain with a catback on the 11-14's and the 2105 GT's will probably be no exception.
That dyno is missing data below 2900 RPM; why hide it? The temp/humidity/elevation/correction factors are not...
I also wonder if this is all they did to improve the manual trans. over the outgoing models MT-82? I know a bunch of people who put a new shifter in their 2011-2014 and they still had a lot of issues with this trans.
I hope it's much better as I would prefer the manual over the auto even though...
Being in Engineering I like seeing all the pictures shown here. They are very nice; hope to see that line someday.
Hopefully 2015 Ford paint jobs are better than the thin paint on my 2003 Cobra; and yes I would prefer paint under my hoodliner.
Thanks!
