  1. Oh well...

Probably a chafed and shorted wire based on my experience and 3 warranty repairs for the same.
  2. How to know if a used Mustang has a tune?

Buy it from a ford dealer and have them verify it is stock. Only way I know of.
  3. 𝙏𝘼𝙄𝙇 𝙇𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏 𝙏𝙐𝙀𝙎𝘿𝘼𝙔

Badass, the old school put up a good fight
  4. Would you buy a tuned car?

Market is picking up. Carvana is offering me what I paid for my car in January, sight unseen. It’s up 10k since when I originally submitted the inquiry. I figure it’s a good, low effort way to keep tabs on my cars value lol.
  5. Trunk weather stripping. Normal or?

This ^^^^ Op get screened for mustang OCD!
  6. Premium vs Regular gas for track day

The cost difference is negligible compared to the cost for an engine rebuild. I’d prefer to have some margin of error rather than have 87 octane gas in a 12:1 compression engine at 7400rpm and 220 degree cylinder head temps. That’s just me though.
  7. My X4 device reads knock sensor 0 all the time

PCMTec but you have to have a PCMTec tune to use it so it probably won’t help you. Forscan has some basic datalogging abilities though.
  8. My X4 device reads knock sensor 0 all the time

I have this same issue with certain PIDs on my 2022. I don’t think SCT has the correct PIDs figured out yet. I tried bypassing the DLC in hopes it was blocking some packets but that did not fix it. You could try sending them a message, I just switched to a different datalogging method. Edit...
  9. How do you clean under the hood? Isn’t there wiring under there that can’t get wet ?

I use quick detailer to wipe it down. If you do this every month or so it should be enough. Otherwise, if you pull off one of the wiring connectors you’ll see they are waterproof. Just use a hose with a spray attachment. Power washer is overkill unless you have oil and grease leaking.
  10. DLC connector? Tap into wires behind factory connector?

This problem is solved. See the dlc bypass section of my guide in this thread: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/sensor-based-automatic-flex-fuel-sensor-and-wiring-install-guide.200495/
  11. Interest in Sensor Based flex fuel install guide / write up?

  12. Sensor Based Automatic Flex Fuel - Sensor and Wiring Install Guide

Attached is a guide with full bill of materials and part numbers through summit racing for setting up sensor based flex fuel on a left hand driver 2018-2023 GT. As far as I know, the only software that supports sensor based flex is PCMTec / @Rolls. This system will automatically adapt from...
  13. Decision Time

Everything I’ve read has said go with a 19+ car but 15k price difference seems steep.
  14. Vs M340i

car length on him from a 50-120 roll. I started in second gear and no lift shifted to 3 and 4. he started to reel me in around 80mph when I moved into 3rd gear but above 100 it opened back up. Both cars ran great with no wheel spin. i suspect he was stock because a tuned 340 would have eaten me...
  15. Finding good E85?

Thanks. Had no idea. edit: just got added to the group. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again.
  16. Finding good E85?

No Meijer gas near me. Kroger gas stopped carrying E85 this winter. Mobil near me just stopped carrying it this week according to the manager of one station I talked to this morning. Now it’s just independent owned stations and speedways that have it near me and the speedways are very inconsidtent.
  17. Finding good E85?

Thanks. I just downloaded the app, helpful.
  18. New GT Help

Gotcha. Keep waiting for this blue car to pop up on the site. It was a ‘21 GT with the same mods you describe but a blown hole in piston 8 from the dealer techs ripping it on 87. They eventually just replaced that piston and sent it to auction. Glad you didn’t get that one. I agree with above...
  19. Finding good E85?

Anyone know of an app or website that has E85 percentages Over the past month 4 stations I knew of in metro Detroit stopped carrying E85. Speedway still has it but it’s terribly inconsistent, anywhere from 30% E to 80% E randomly. alternatively anyone know a good station in metro Detroit?
