  1. New Noise Today

Yeah, I use Pennzoil platinum on my cars. Significantly quiets the motors down, sounds a lot more healthy.
  2. New Noise Today

Switch to Pennzoil Platinum, Ultra-Platinum or Amsoil if you can afford that. The tick is a characteristic of the 5.0 and often goes away with high-quality oil changed in shorter intervals.
  3. Fuse 23 Problems!

Fuse 23 also runs the rear-view mirror dimmer if that helps, maybe that little extra voltage robs the motor at certain times?
  4. Radiator Fan Issue

Couple days ago I have been experiencing issues with the Radiator fan ramping up to 100% RPM upon using the remote start and manually starting the car. The temperatures outside are around 40 degrees with that being the warmest it gets. I've turned all A/C and heating settings off and the fans...
  5. Priming Question

You're correct, I do want to add though that priming the engine after a dry filter is installed makes determining the dip stick level a lot easier. You can add 6 quarts directly to the motor, prime it - and check the level again before ever starting the car. Good safety precaution as well for...
  6. Priming Question

That is what I usually do on my other cars but on the 3.7 Duratecs they are horizontally mounted, makes a huge mess.
  7. 19 PP1 Braking Issue

Yeah the only upgrade for these cars would be something like Powerstop racing brakes and rotors, OEM ones are pretty good.
  8. Priming Question

    Appreciate it!
  9. V6

V6 owner here... As someone who does their own maintenance the Duratec 3.7 is unbelievably easy to work on, Ford did a excellent job on this Engine. The power to weight ratio makes it a fun, sporty car for those who can not afford the V8's (like myself) and the gas mileage isn't much worse...
  10. Priming Question

I was curious is there a way to prime the push start S550 Mustangs? I'd assume its gas down and pressing the start button but do not want to end up redlining my car by accident. It probably does nothing but I always have done it as a habit on my other cars after oil changes to prime the filter...
  11. Help after blower install

Probably just a regular engine ground, considering its on the main harness above the valve cover it could be for the fuel system specifically.
  12. Help after blower install

Send a pic of what the harness leads to.
  13. Issues driving in the rain...

I own a V6 and even with the 310 horsepower driving in the rain and the snow does make me hate other drivers. I tend to just take it slow, I totally relate to the whole tensed up while driving idea. As for people sliding into you, I've found that keeping a huge amount of distance Infront of me...
  14. Abnormal Roush Axle back and X-pipe noise- need a 2nd opinion

Definitely could be the hanger bushings that are worn causing the rattling as well!
  15. Abnormal Roush Axle back and X-pipe noise- need a 2nd opinion

Make sure the exhaust clamps are tight, there is a correct torque that I do not remember off the top of my head. Exhausts also kind of have a break in period as well, drive it more a few thousand and see if the noise disappears.
  16. Drivers side oil leak under exhaust manifold.

That doesn't look too abnormal. Check around the valve cover gasket area to see if you can find the same residue. If not that looks pretty normal especially getting up there in the mileage. Could also be exhaust manifold gaskets.
  17. 2016 s550 Base - Rear Differential Fluid change

I am curious on how you guys maintain your differential fluid. I have been in the habit of doing it every year mostly since where I live I daily drive in a winter climate three months out of the year where the limited-slip sees a lot of wear and tear. Do you lift all four tires for the fluid...
  18. X-Pipe Resonator Delete

Interesting, a video would be great when you're able. Thanks!
  19. Carbotech front and rear pads available

I have power stops on my vehicle. You'll notice brake dust for the first 50 miles in my experience due to the pads burnishing and breaking in. After that I have never had brake dust really worth the money.
