  1. TR3160 Manual transmission “grind” going into 5th, hard going into 3rd

Thanks for digging that info up for me. I poked around google as well, but you really found more Han I did. Hopefully it will smooth up.
  2. TR3160 Manual transmission “grind” going into 5th, hard going into 3rd

I won't let my dealer work on the car unless it's an easy fix. They took a month to replace the clutch under warranty after two years of telling me the clunking noise was "normal" after several trips to the shop where they "could not duplicate complaint". Finally the disc material on one side...
  3. TR3160 Manual transmission “grind” going into 5th, hard going into 3rd

Just to clarify, no I'm not slamming it into gear, nor am I shifting at 7500RPM. In fact, the more aggressive I am (or even, the less aggressive I am) the better it shifts into 5th. When I'm just driving normally, that's when I get the issue. Most of the time it goes right in nicely. Hoping...
  4. TR3160 Manual transmission “grind” going into 5th, hard going into 3rd

I’ve driven two Mach 1s. The first one had a minor “grind” going into 5th, with 3,200 miles on it. It wasn’t a full on grind, but more like the teeth on the synchros banged into each other one time as they were aligning and engaging. I chocked that up to the transmission just not being fully...
  5. Looking for 50 Year Wheels

Anyone here have a set of 19x9 and 19x9.5 50 Year wheels for sale? Thanks,
  6. Who's running a blown 2021-2023 Mach 1?

If you have turbos or a supercharger on your Mach 1, please let us know the brand, and your experience with install and function. Whipple used to offer a user-adjustable power by gear feature to mitigate wheel spin on the 2015-2017. Is that still a thing?
  7. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

Well, as I said, I"m a Honda guy, but perhaps they've gone down hill as well. Mine is a 2017, and a 2006 before that. However, here's a huge recall Honda made regarding fuel leaks since I originally started this thread: https://www.yahoo.com/news/honda-recalls-more-700-000-175313884.html
  8. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

I feel exactly the same way about your entire comment, but C7.
  9. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

That happened to me with a 1997 Toyota Tercel. Hated it. Bought it due to brand loyalty. Sold it at a loss to buy a Tacoma.
  10. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

Yeah, a Honda at Porsche prices…
  11. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

Ah, yes. You just reminded me to disable the tracking device. For anyone else who wants to do that, at least on the 2022 Mach 1, the tracking router is mounted in front of the driver's tail light. Pull the carpet away and it's there...
  12. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

Mostly the knocking sound at this point. Luckily it goes away after the car is moving. A few other things some would consider nit picking, but on a car with a $60,000 MSRP I should not have body fitment issues, what looks like wrinkles under the seat cover as if something was accidentally...
  13. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

I’ve had good luck with Honda but nothing surprises me anymore, sadly. What is wrong with the civic?
  14. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

I may try it. Thanks for the suggestion.
  15. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

The funny part is that the service writer told me, "Yeah, but you still have the 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty..." to which I replied, "what good is that if you won't fix it when there is clearly already an annoying problem, but just not catastrophic?" The good news is that the noise goes away...
  16. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

Yup. This is my second Mustang, and I've owned two Hondas. I thought they would have gotten better 7 years into the S550 platform, but compared to my 2015 GT, the radio in the '22 is less powerful, the radio seems cluttered with the navigation system, the highly praised Tremec shifts like a...
  17. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

Hmmm. You must work at my local dealership... And yes, I have...
  18. Another Gen 3 Coyote Knocking?

OK, so of course there are several obnoxious and worrisome noises that we are told are "normal" for Coyote engines (and which only seem to be the case in Ford engines as far as I know). I'm a Honda guy, so these noises make me very disappointed in my choice after buying a Ford. With that...
  19. Does this knocking sound normal?

Did you ever find out definitively what this sound is? Mine is making the same knocking sound, but seems most noticeable from the driver's seat. I can hear it with a stethoscope through the whole engine, so it could be resonating from anywhere, I suppose....
  20. Does this knocking sound normal?

I know this is an old thread, but if you still have the car, does it make the same knocking sound as the OP's? Mine does, but it's a 2022 Mach 1 and the knocking noise seems to be coming from the driver's side rear of the engine. Thanks!
