90% of folks don't have enough tire (suspension) do do ANYTHING with any extra power below 3,000 rpm. Sooooo, unless you are on a track that's as sticky as fly paper... haven't a little "less" down low... isn't a bad thing. ;)
Just throwing that out there. (since I have a stock converter...
There is no way to move it to the charge pipe on the CARB system due to the limitations of piping locations.
I personally daily drive my CARB kit with the MAF in the intercooler, and so does my GF. It runs and drives like stock, to the point she wouldn't have even known it was supercharged...
Folks that turn up the 6 rib kits are doing the same as folks do with the brand "V" or "P" kits, and they add overdrive balancers and griptech pulleys. I am sure folks can make PLENTY of HP with a P1X CARB KIT... I know @beefcake has experience in this.
I plan on pushing mine pretty far in...
I actually have a CARB kit on my personal 2017 GT. However its virtually identical to the one for yours. The small items that you modify are easily purchased to place back to 100% stock if needed.
- Plastic parts are all cheap
- The fuel pump booster, can be removed with a single...
I would say the change is about 1 year old.
I do blower kit installs about once a week, and have for 15 years. Even last week, I forgot to tighten down the hose clamp on one single intercooler tube. Floored it, and was 3psi boost low. Obviously I have done these same kit like 20 times, so I...
I have the CARB legal kit, with STG 2 intercooler.
(so shared 6 rib drive belt, but the larger intercooler)
I had a 2018 Mustang with a A10 and STG2 kit. It went easy 6's in the 1/8th.
I havent' taken this 2017 to the track yet, since our track closed early due to season and Covid. :(. I...
That will never happen sadly. Since there are only (2) of us at this point, and 90% of the time we are sitting on a very loud chassis dyno developing tunes, so could never hear a caller anyways.
Plus honestly, 90+% of the time when someone calls about a "tune issue" it always is actually NOT a...
Correct, as long as the Bypass Valve isn't changed. The intercooler MAF is fine. We only changed to the "Tube MAF" for two reasons on the Stage 2 kits.
1) Because everyone kept swapping bypass valves, and not adjusting tunes accordingly.
2) Because it made it easier to have 1 MAF curve for STG2...
With a D-1X and that pulley, you just need to let your tuner to know to be careful with timing. Since you will be making a great deal of boost. (the higher compression on the Gen3's make them very very picky on pump gas with knock... however on E85 they are monsters)
I agree with this... if...
I actually technically drive that daily. :) Mine has the Stage 2 intercooler. But I have the CARB Legal kit, so its a shared drive. My car rips, to the point that I don't let folks drive it... cause on the stock tires its just asking to hit a curb from wheel spin below 40mph.
Is yours...
For the record, this is amazing... BUT lordy that's the end of the line for that blower. :)
You sir are awesome for proving what a little blower and a solid combo can do! Congrats!!!!
If that's all your goal is, your tuner will have to hold her back. :)
Cause I know PBD just laid down over 900 wheel on a P1SC1 (ya, not even an "X") A D-1X car with a fuel system, can easy easy easy make four digit power.
Four-Digit HP you can bolt-on in your garage! (in a weekend)
Not long ago, it was hard work to make 400, 500 or even 600 HP. Nowadays those are rookie numbers, and everyone wants that magic 1000 HP. Yes, we are talking crankshaft horsepower here, same as your car is rated from the factory...
