Received my square 19"x11" Apex VS-5RS forged track wheels and ordered the necessary OP Mustang 25mm spacers, ARP 100-7733 studs, Ford Performance M-1012-N open lug nuts, Motorcraft TPMS39 sensors and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires.
I was interested in R wheels but I am an aggressive track driver, using the whole track, and I donāt want to worry about bashing a wheel on a curb. I have a set of Apex VS5-RS forged wheels coming soon.
Someone on Facebook immediately rained on my parade by saying the R wing doesnāt really produce much downforce (124 lbs at 100 mph) - and potentially less than the swing - according to aftermarket wind tunnel testing by AJ Hartman (). š
I respect your opinion and as the OP I asked for it. Thanks for sharing!
Coming from the BMW world, in my opinion there is no greater sin - and nothing that makes you look more foolish - than slapping an M badge on a non-M car.
I wonāt be doing any up-badging here. Just the performance parts...
How do you remove the extension panel nuts (aka retainer plate nuts, part W710609-S439) that go under the retainer plate that goes under the decklid trim piece? This is the one part I haven't been able to extract from the old trunk (and of course all the parts counters in my area are now closed...
Back on topic⦠today I received the Anderson GT350R replica wing and was able to pick up my new second trunk freshly painted in Ford Performance Blue.
The Anderson box had a big ol' hole in it like someone jabbed it with a forklift. I believe others here have had the same issue. (Anderson...
Well gents, I had the chance to run my 2019 GT350 against a new Mach 1 at Thunderhill yesterday. We were both wearing Pilot Cup 2s on stock wheels, both had the handling package (gurney flap and camber plates), both had Tremec 6-speed manual transmission with rev matching (I have the Xingeering...
What do you mean they fill out the wheels better than the Michelins? More square sidewall profile?
30 series rubber definitely needs Ford Performance springs at a minimum to reduce gap.
I purchased a second trunk (only $350!) and had it painted Ford Performance Blue ($800). It's sitting at the Ford dealer in Monterey waiting for me to pick it up. I purchased a replica R carbon fiber spoiler from Anderson, via Lethal Performance, a couple weeks ago and received an update today...
Before numbers are spot on with 20% driveline loss off of 526 hp. Why people say these cars are overrated I do not knowā¦
Are you happy with those gains?
I donāt know if youāre referring to the unique firing order of the Voodoo, but if so, I agree. Trying to make a FPC sound like a CPC seemed to introduce undesirable NVH characteristics for the benefit of aesthetics, as I learned from watching (start at 15:36).
My experience is to get what you really want because if you donāt youāll always be a little unsatisfied.
Is an interstate purchase really that hard in Australia? Enthusiasts here in the US will easily travel 750 miles across state lines to buy just the right car.
The HEP included Wimbledon White paint, Guardsman Blue side and over-the-top racing stripes, all black seats with red stitching and some badges. There is nothing of performance substance, nothing that took engineering effort or increased materials cost. That is my issue with it.
I appreciate...
