  1. AutoXing an A10 GT, what gear should I run?

I don't wanna roll over the tires and burn off the edges too bad. I typically run about 34-35psi cold on the street and have remarkably good wear characteristics as-is, so I'm thinking a couple extra pounds ought to do. When I'm out looking for trouble I usually bring it down to ~26-28 but...
  2. AutoXing an A10 GT, what gear should I run?

Hey guys, as is my tradition, taking my car to its first autoX. This is my first time in the Stang, but not first session. I'm calling all you guys with A10s and 3.15s, what works for you? Car is stock at this point, down to the 255 Pirellis. My preliminary thoughts are to go for track mode so...
  3. 11 Mustangs that never came to be...

IIRC, it was also slated to be the first production vehicle with a sub 10 second 0-100-0 time. That's beyond insane, even today. While it would've been awesome to have, street tires and era TC wouldn't have been able to do diddly squat to control it, and people likely would have died. Look at...
  4. True Flex Fuel Tune

This is basically exactly what I want. I'm also super excited that Lund is offering it.
  5. True Flex Fuel Tune

The plan down the road is boost, so a sensor is probably the best way to go with that.
  6. True Flex Fuel Tune

Sweet, so no sensor is needed at all?
  7. True Flex Fuel Tune

Can someone please explain this like I'm dumb? If I'm understanding correctly, this software(when coupled with a tuner and their flex kit) will enable the ECU to register ethanol content as a value that can be used to reference other tables, correct?
  8. 11 Mustangs that never came to be...

No mention of the SN95 Boss concept that the SVT boys made in their free time? That would have been killer one.
  9. How would you spend $100 on suspension for a stock GT?

I have a set sitting on the shelf, along with a CB005. Just waiting on the subframe alignment pins, and I'll knock it all out at once with an alignment. I still haven't gotten around to sway bars yet, because every time I think I settle on a brand, I keep going back and forth with another brand lol
  10. BMW M550i Xdrive vs GT

I've heard it's kind of common in Europe to debadge luxury cars. I always assumed it was a "I don't want people thinking I'm rich/poor" thing. But going straight for the upbadge is always an entertaining one for me. When I couldn't afford the car I wanted, I bought whatever was in my price range...
  11. BMW M550i Xdrive vs GT

This is just my nearly worthless preinflation-adjusted pair of pennies, but I've found quarter mile trap speeds(and as an extension, the ET) to be a great indicator of street acceleration. There is a relatively inverse relationship between the trap:ET ratio and how a car does on the street...
  12. Looking for my stablemates with oil filter relocations

Fair enough. I had a relocation on my other V8s for ease, and use Subarus in the winter, so I have forgotten what it's like to change a bottom mounted filter. I'm trying to be proactive about this, as I have been cursed for years with spilling oil every change. I'm thinking I'll be printing up...
  13. Looking for my stablemates with oil filter relocations

Hey guys! I'm hoping to get some advice/insight on oil filter relocations. I'm looking to make oil changes for this car as smooth/quick as possible, and considering an oil filter relocation kit. I have bad memories of oil filter changes on my last V8-powered FoMoCo product, and would much rather...
  14. How would you spend $100 on suspension for a stock GT?

Thanks for the insight, did you have a suggestion though?
  15. How would you spend $100 on suspension for a stock GT?

I think that toe links were mentioned at one point. They are on my list, but I'm curious if the FRPP ones are the best option, or if there's some better aftermarket version based on poly or delrin. -I just realized I'm a moron, and the FRPP ones are made of delrin. That takes some guesswork out...
  16. How would you spend $100 on suspension for a stock GT?

What is the part you're talking about? I'm not shying away from anything, or biasing towards only one thing. I can only swing a set amount every week for the car, and have a decent sized list of things to add. I like knowing what to change, why to change it, and how it works.
  17. How would you spend $100 on suspension for a stock GT?

I actually have a couple systems in mind. Fortune Auto has a remote system that's pretty good, and all in is still under $4k configured the way I'd want.
  18. How would you spend $100 on suspension for a stock GT?

Right now I'm just learning the car. I'm focusing most of my energy on my winter car since it's going to the garage for the summer, and don't wanna do any big mods to the Mustang for the time being. Just for my own clarification, these are the alignment dowels, correct? I may go for a strut...
  19. How would you spend $100 on suspension for a stock GT?

As far as I was aware, the ultralites are linear as well. The only reason for coils down the line is to get electronically adjustable ones. I wanted magneride, but I couldn't find any cars specced the way I wanted with it, so I figured I'd rather go for an aftermarket setup anyway. I know there...
  20. WMI on a NA motor, reasonable or wasteful?

Ah that's right. I was loaded that evening when I posted last, so please pardon my memory haha. Slow days at work are good for my soul, but bad for my whisky budget and liver.
