A couple of us are running 10R80's on track. I think I'm the only one racing this box and Flyhalf is time trialing his. He has posted about his cooling development and final solution. I have never had the problem never racing about 65F ambient then corona virus hit and sidelined everyone...
The fan shroud has doors in the back of it. These are designed to open and close with air flow but can also restrict airflow . Has anyone tested running and removing the doors? Cutting open fan shroud for more cooling? Maybe this is part of the cooling problems these cars have on track? We...
Are there any cat delete options for racecars besides MAK since no ship into cali? There are plenty for s197.
I m trying to do less work with saws and welders.
Due to class rules I must run stock header. That's why not going to the easy solution long tubes...
It has been mentioned several times that the 10r80 would cool better if it did not have the thermostatic bypass. The bypass needs to hit 190F before it opens and even open it restricts flow to the cooler because it is there. Is there a solution?
I did some research knowing nothing about the...
Anyone know if the non-PP1 front mount is the same size as the PP1 front swaybar mount? I used a airtool and stripped/destroyed the bonded bushing. I'm wondering if the bushings will fit the PP1 mounting shell?
The PP1 swaybar with bonded bushing is a real piece of trash. Why would anyone...
It is true that the only difference between the PP1 front sway bar and the non-PP1 front sway bar is that the PP1 sway bar mounts are bonded increasing the effective rate?
Hi Tim
How us the steeda lateral link any different from stock pp1?
They look the same. Both have spherical ends and same outboard shape.
Nevermind. The end is taller to match the longer bumpsteered tierod end. Makes sense now.
Mustang rookie!
In corvette world locally there is J&D corvette to get junkyard body parts and other limited components. In mustang world is there a similar mustang junkyard in Los Angeles?
Most people with modification, especially those who abandoned the divorced rear spring to true coilover know that it is possible to rip out the shock mount from the chassis. We know the metal in the top rear shock mount area is thin but that area was never designed to take both the shock and...
OMG! I'm new to working on my GT. What Ford genius left this hole here so our tools etc fall in? I have to take the fender liner out to retrieve my tools! &^%$#&(((!!!!! FORD. This is just one of many FORD suckages.
I gutted my brand new 2019 car to build a racecar and I think I'm going...
This is the video that bests describes my 1st trackday/test in my new GT pp1
I thought it was just me. Probst who is driving is a championship winning SCCA racer yet the mustang GT is a total handful. He can't get power down or keep the chassis tamed. Very yaw off the track centerline is...
I have a 2019 GT PP1 and there is very little listed for it other than as 2015+
I'm making changes to the brake system like floating rotors and ss brake lines. Can anyone confirm that over the years the PP1 brakes have stayed the same on all S550's?
I need a fuel sampling port for racing on 2019 GT. I do not see a shrader valve on the fuel rail! This is just like no tow points or tow hook!
Assuming I did not miss the shrader valve where can I tap in the fuel system? There has to be a test port for fuel pressure somewhere? I assume...
I'm an SCCA clubracer who just sold my T2 vette Z06 racecar. I just got a 2019 Mustang GT pp1 with 10speed to race in my same class.
I have not welded my rollcage into the S550 yet but it will happen in a couple of weeks. I'm doing my 1st trackday in this car on Saturday to find week spots...
