inspect the heat shields to make sure they are not loose or contacting them. Then make sure the headers are not hitting the studs for the heat shields. I have seen where the motor moves enough to contact the studs. Then it, of course, causes a noise.

Stock doesn't mean much when almost no one leaves them stock. Talking drag racing on stock tires doesn't usually fair well either. Using the stock tires is very inconsistent and leaves a lot of room for improvement. Hard to prove anything with stock tires.
