This black GT coupe showed up on the dealer lot this weekend. It has the 50th anniversary package but is not the Limited Edition. "Market Value" premium is a whopping $5K.
In southern Kentucky, not Canada. Typical winters here are shorter and milder with only a few nasty days. OEM all-season tires will handle it fine.
My plan is to order the car with the good-looking and easy-clean Foundry Black 5-spoke 18-inch wheels and run those during the winter months...
I replaced my computer and lost my background pic. 2015 GT fastback, Ruby Red, black Performance Pack wheels, no stripes, full-length driver's side with the front of the car pointing left, "Forza" logo upper right corner. Anyone know the shot and where to find it?
I am doing the same thing with the 18-inch Foundry Black wheels, except that most of our snow events are light so the OEM all-season tires will suffice. Those wheels will be easy to clean off the winter gunk.
I did not say it was an issue. I said it would not be my own preference. The rim width range for most 275-width tires is 9-11. On my vehicle, I prefer to stay more in the middle of recommended ranges than on the edges.
The 20''s look nicest but are by far the most impractical, and they're the same width as the 18'' so you hurt the performance of the car.
Ford's 20-inch Mustang wheels are 9.0" wide. Both the standard 18-inch wheels and the "Foundry Black" 18-inch wheels are 8.0" wide.
My own plan is to purchase killer aftermarket wheels and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and switch them out for the OEM wheels and A/S tires for winter driving and at trade-in time.
One of the major selling points of the new Mustang GT is the reduced price as compared to the M4 BMW and the S5 Audi. That leaves a substantial budget for personalizing the vehicle with first class wheels, tires, etc.
Their RB1 is my favorite aftermarket design and I love the pics I have seen of their Transparent Smoke finish. Anyone have experience with the brand? Best source for purchase?
My plan is to purchase aftermarket wheels and tires in my favorite designs/finishes/sizes and switch them out to the OEM wheels and OEM A/S tires for winter driving and at trade-in time.
