The FRPP x-pipe is a much easier solution, and only $239. Just saws-all off the resinator and clamp on the x-pipe. I need to hear more sound clips though.
Glad you like it. I loved the sound too and hope people aren't turned off by my review of the Touring. I miss the sound a lot, but just didn't want it full time. Sometimes I just want quiet and the reason I think an active exhaust is better for me. I'm also seriously considering the frpp...
I find it hard to getting anywhere near redline around town. Even entering the highway redline is not really needed with this Coyote engine. I'm normally shifting into the next gear around 6000k. Can't imagine what 8200 is like!
My Mobius ActionCam has the standard mounting thread. An incredible camera too. Auto start/stop and motion sensing for when your car is parked. Our 2015 Mustangs have an active power port for like 90 minutes after you lock the car so it'll record any motion around your car.
The v6 ecoboost is a very interesting option. They can be built to incredible power and sounds. Take a listen to the formula 1 v6 engines or even the Nissan GTR. At wide open throttle these rock!
No, this one slides right up to the factory pipes and clamps down. I like this one because all you have to do is cut the resinator off and clamp on the x-pipe. And it's only like $240.
I'm a little different than most people, so I like a fairly quiet system until you're in the higher rpm's. Aftermarket exhausts for daily driving can be a bit much. I want an active exhaust that I can tune.
I went back to my stock system after having the ford racing touring catback. That system sounded incredible with 3k rpm and up throttle. What bothered me were a few things. If this wasn't my daily driver I would have been very happy with the system and left it on. At 65mph in 6th gear it was...
Mine came off the truck with 19 miles as well. I think they need to take it around the track several times for quality control, alignment, adjustments, wheel balance, tuning, etc.
Mine is a torsen 373 performance pack and it wheel hops like crazy. I would be interested to hear from anyone without the PP and if their non-torsen does this.
I would want to mute the noise most of the time and only open it up when I want to play. Now if we can only get them to build it in round tip so we don't have to change the rear bumper...which I will not do.
