I was fairly good with my break-in period and kept the RPM's below 5k for the first 500 miles, then I couldn't wait any longer. First gear burnout, no line-lock. The only mod is the Ford Racing Touring exhaust.
I have decided to take mine off. Anyone interested in it let me know. I've had it on since Saturday Dec 20th and it's just a bit too loud for me. Private message me and we'll talk. You can also hear it on the car if you want to. Someone within driving distance of Tampa please because I threw...
Any of you guys interested in this Ford Racing Touring Exhaust I bought last week? I've had it on since Saturday and it's just a bit too loud for me? Paid $1100 (which is a good deal to begin with) and I will let it go cheap. Private message me and we'll talk. You can also hear it on the car...
Mine has made a low volume rotational noise through the shifter since day 1. It hasn't gotten any worse so I'm ignoring it. If it gets louder I'll investigate.
I loved the dual clutch auto I had in my GTI. If they offered one with the performance pack I seriously would have considered it. I like the stick in a performance car as well though. To me it's and even trade off.
I'd like to have my speakers upgraded in my base GT. Thinking that may make a world of difference in sound if I get top end speakers, no additional amp though. Any opinions?
Everyone has an opinion and he asked for theirs. Most people here (myself included) love performance cars and are happy for him. Some people like apples and some like oranges. It is what it is.
Sorry, I meant that Sport video will give you a better idea of what the Touring will sound like in person. The Touring is not quiet like the Touring video shows.
This video [ame] at the 9:30 mark shows how quiet the GT factory exhaust is compared to the Camaro factory exhaust at the 11:55...
Listen to the video of the Ford Racing Sport exhaust. Just my opinion, but in videos it gives you a better representation of what the sport will sound like. Videos always sound less than actually in person.
Don't get me wrong, this exhaust/engine sounds incredible running through the gears. So crisp and tight! Hoping I adjust to the decimal higher than I wanted. :headbang:
It's very hard to hear from the video what it's doing. You have plenty of warranty left and if there's something wrong it'll eventually surface. You may want to start up a few at the dealer and see if those make the same noise. If not then make your case with the service manager.
