Not surprised. A lot of people in the real world don't really like the new Mustang. I was riding with a non-car friend the other day and riding beside a 2015 and my friend was like "ewwww wtf did they do to the mustang?"
Agree. I def noticed that in a straight line, the previous gen def felt a tad faster.
Then again, it could also be because the 15 is more refined than the 14.
I was into BMW's for like 5 mins so I went to the dealership to test drive a 335i stick. Compared to my 12 GT, I actually hated it. It was boring. I mean, it's nice...but that's all it really is. Nice. I actually found the interior to be surprising, it looks like something from 1991! Sure the...
This is when I plan on getting a used 2015. I assume the GT's will drop just like they do every year. A lightly used loaded GT for like 27K will be a good deal with me. :)
That's why I'm holding off on getting a 15, I want to wait til I hear about the 16. And if not much changes with the 16, I will pull the trigger on a used 15.
As someone who's been in that spot, it's 5.0 or go home. If you think you'll regret it NOW when you haven't even bought a car, just imagine when you actually have a 4 cycl and always wonder "what if?".
With the GT, you won't worry about that at all.
I came here to say this....A C6 vette as a DD would be a bit much. But a Mustang GT is a perfect DD car. I know since it's been my DD for the past 4 years.
As the owner of a 2012 5.0, I would say a 2015 v6 is a downgrade when it comes to the speed and thrill factor. The newer car is nicer,, rides better, and has a decent interior (since it's only the base model.) but I would never be happy with a v6 vs. 5.0.
No question, the Cobra wins for me. It's just a sexy car and will be a classic in 20 years.
I don't care about stuff like the interior. Just hearing one down the street gives me a woody.
This. I've also noticed whenever I'm parked that other Mustangs of any year will park next to mine.
It's what being in this car club is all about. Love it.
Mustangs (at least 2010+) are becoming rare to see these days for me in my area (Nova).
So, how many of you jumped ship from your luxury German or luxury Japanese car to the Mustang? And what made you jump? How would you compare it to the new Mustang?
This new gen of the car seems to be attracting folks who would've never bought a Mustang in the past, from what I've noticed...
I saw the Valentine's Day special, but they just advertise it as "in a Mustang". I don't even see a reference to "2015" at all.
To the average reader, it could be an older model Mustang and people wouldn't know the difference.
Yeah, it definitely was amazing, not for a Ford, but in general. They are stepping their game up and I'm glad! Still mad they don't sell the new ones with a glass roof. I loved that thing! But I was never really a hater on the previous gen Stang to begin with.
