Yeah, English but regional accents are very distinct. Birmingham (brummie) probably being one of the most distinct so was on a hiding to nothing, I also find that English actors seem to dull the accent down a bit for what is primarily an American audience too. If a true brummie came to America you would probably need subtitlesI mean, he is English so I assumed his accent for the movie was fine. Was his dialect not correct? I don’t know the difference between all the different regions and their dialects
Gerard Butler is another, I know he is Scottish but still part of UK (at time of writing anyway) and he has gone more american over the years.
Not a criticism BTW, its just market forces for the target audience.
