Twin turbos or one? My mechanic is already trying to talk me into twin turbos making 1300-1400ish hp. 😳🙄😳🙄😳. They make insanely huge power at their shop. I’ll all ready thinking about D1X next year. I had great success in selling my PISC1 and upgrading to the P1X, so I could easily do the same for D1X, but 1300-1400 hp is still insane
Single 88/96 that is capable of putting out 1575 hp.

Finalized the mounting layout for the Davies Craig EWP and Delta PAG controllers using Carmount Clutch-X mounts right on the glovebox door. Everything is perfectly angled toward the driver's seat, so that I can monitor the screens easily.

Another small, but important mod that will be beneficial for tuning. Jeff Evans, of Evans Performance Academy recommended in one of his training modules, to add a MAP sensor for Speed Density tuning.

Since I deleted the AC, I decided to cut the connector for the pressure sensor off of the factory harness and solder in the new MAP sensor harness.

Bosch MAP sensor P/N: 0261 230 262 is on the way to complete this mod.

Yes, @tdstuart did something similar, except he went into the imrc position sensor instead and used an adapter harness.

I think it took us 25 logs and revisions, give or take, to tune his sd model. That was using just 4 mapped points and isolating each one for tuning, using a home-brew sd calculator that takes more into account than the hptuners sd calculator.

Cool! Did you guys think it was worth it?

In my opinion, on his car it was more of a necessity than an option. He has some pretty big Comp cams so the SD model was grossly inaccurate. The most obvious effect was that the inferred baro was way off, which threw off everything else. "Big Tuner" basically just locked down inferred baro, which treated the symptom but not the underlying cause. Once the SD model was tuned, the inferred baro was accurate, which fixed a lot of stuff. That said, even though these cars are MAF, the SD model is used in TB control and also for fueling in dynamic conditions, both of which are fascinating once you figure out how they work. So I do believe it was worth it. I also believe we're the only ones who took the time to build an accurate SD model for those cams and that intake combination.

That sounds awesome! Glad to hear there will be some benefit to it, especially given that I have the Soler Performance ported Bullitt tb, which will need some work. I have to make that work because I had the Wiggins clamp flanges welded onto the tb and charge pipe. There’s also the Holley Lo Ram that will also need some extra attention.

I think we mentioned it before…but have you talked with Vogen yet?

they are making some serious headway with turbo s550’s…

I haven’t. I’m going to try and give this a go myself and if it proves to be too much, I’ll start looking for other options again. If it were to come down to someone tuning the car for me, I’m convinced now that it would have to be a boutique tuner that is willing to work with my chosen fuel system. Slow and steady wins the race. I’m about 60 of 98 modules in on the Evans Performance Academy training modules.
