GTD in the wild at Costco

I saw one a few weeks ago on the Baltimore Beltway early on a Saturday. I figured he was headed up to Cars N Coffee in Hunt Valley. They are impressive going down the road. Definitely catches your eye.

Saw three of them a few weeks ago down here in Galveston at Mustang Week. They're a beautiful piece of machinery in person that's for sure.

Had not seen one in the wild until I went to an event to meet the Drivers for the IMSA race in Melbourne at the Muesum.

Not only was a friend there who had one, but he let me drive it. What a thrill that was!!!!

Interestingly enough, I have not seen one in the wild here in Miami. It's odd, because you see EVERYTHING here in Miami. Now, admittedly, I have not been to a few cars and coffees of late, so maybe I missed one being there.

May 1st in the Secure parking they had for us at the South Pointe Casino . Talking to a guy in the parking area ,he was telling us he takes delivery of his GTD in Montana saves him 30k in California sales tax . Then he got into this Ford GT ,told us he drives this a lot . He was no flashy dude , like 75 ish Levi's and a regular shirt.

Oh, wait, that GTD looks familiar. There is a shop called Tint Hause Customs that do tint and ppf jobs....Also, the owner does road course racing. I remember his girlfriend, now wife, I think, was doing someone's GTD. I think it was in those colours....Benton and Jess....

Interesting Teal body color in the second photo.
I would have thought the single thin yellow hood stripe color would also accent the brake calipers which just appears to be gloss black.
Similar Teal shade on this other GTD below.

No pic for me, as he was on the otherside of the beltway from me and by the time I saw him, identified what I was looking at, I barely had time to admire it in real time. There was no way for me to grab a picture. Sorry.

I hope he doesn't plan on registering the GTD in California, those SOBs will hit him with a use/sales tax.

I've heard folks register there Cars , RVs etc. in Montana save thousands in license fees and Sales tax , thru a Montana LLC , here's some info

I believe the state of Tennessee is going after folks that live in TN but register their cars in Montana. They’ve gone after a couple high profile YouTubers, don’t be surprised if other states follow suit.

My Financial status doesn't warrant doing the Montana shuffle. But saving 30 k like the guy I met at the Shelby Bash 26 , if I was in his group I'd do it .
