I recieved the exact same package Friday waiting on install!
Looking forward to installation images. Between the dip-stick access and cowl/strut braces getting in the way, I'd like to see how it packages and how and where the the filter is secured compared to the GT500 w/GM flex hose option.

I will have an installed photo on its way shortly.
These are to mount on the left hand side of the engine bay to the K frame by the stut tower.
GT500 filter w/early 2000s GTO braided flex lines vs KPM AUP-MUS-FUELFILTER-LHD . Still waiting on further images and details to see how the KPM system compares to the DIY approach and if the mounting/packaging is any better? I'm upgrading my Fuel Pump to the KPM 800HP for a Memorial Day project and I'm still undecided on the filter system.

Nothing at all, it's a simple and elegant engineering solution.

I've watched prototype/development vehicles burn to the ground from failed fluid joints relying on O-Rings and Nylon hard lines (Corvettes are especially difficult to extinguish) and I'm apprehensive about adding more pressurized fuel line failure points inside the engine compartment. I'm still curious how the Track Attack Dark Horse cars address their fuel filtration with the KPM800 Pump. I'm not sure about the filter media and true micron rating on the GT500 filter media but, if it's fine with E85, KPM hasn't provided further details of how their Mustang kit has better quality and/or value over the GT500 filter w/GM braided stainless line approach. I'm still thinking of figuring a way to add the filter under the car, like the OEM GT350/GT500 filter, but the under-hood approach might be the most practical solution?
On a similar year GT you can actually just use the GT350 fuel line with the 350 under car filter. The issue is just that the install is a little tricky without moving the fuel tank. My mechanic managed to get it done without dropping the tank and I didnt ask how :)

I think the KPM filter specs are actually better than the OEM 350 filter though fwiw.

Glad to see this product on the market now, it makes the great KPM units a full solution.

I'm still trying to figure where to mount the KPM Fuel filter and how I'll tap it in.

Hi all.
Instructions are up on the website now.
www.kpmfuelsystems.com/technical/product-instructions/

As far as the choice for the nylon hoses go, we really wanted to acheive a very affordable kit while following the OE style. The use of nylon hoses is a standard practice in many vehicles. We knew there would be a wide range of modifications under the hood also so the inclusion of the heat shielding as added protection.
We also made it easy for people to use their own fuel lines if they like because of the many under hood modifications of course. Just swap out the -8 AN fittings or use the exsisting ones.

We will have O ring service kits available very shortly and then filter cartridge and o ring kits in the near future also.

The filter mounting apppears out of the way on the cowl brace but what about the fuel line feeding the fuel rail, does it cross over the dipstick and restrict clear access? That area is already so cramped with the cowl brace and strut tower brace so close to the dipstick, shame on Ford for not spending the extra few cents to release an updated dipstick location for better access on Mustang applications. Any actual installation images, yet, with the strut brace also installed, showing more details? Thank you.

....So I just got the KPM800HP Pump but, since actual installed details of their Filter are still pending, I decided to try the GT500 DYI Filter approach (about 1/2 price of the KPM filter) using the Deatchwerks Ford Filter with stainless mesh 10 micron replaceable filter. The integrated mounting brackets (removable and repositionable) gave me an idea to mount the filter to the valve cover instead of the cowl brace and insure the filter and GTO Flex fuel lines would not interferee with dipstick access. The Deatschwerks' mounting bracket coincidentally aligned (almost) with the coil-pack mounting fasteners so I cobbled stud-head mounting bolts for the coil-packs and mounted the filter to the studded fastener heads and it seems like a clean approach? Hopefully, the GTO flex lines will install without complication. There are two length options Russell offers, with only a one inch difference, so, I still have to figure best fuel line packaging without kinking. If anyone notices any concerns, I'm all ears before I get to far along with this project.

Update: The Russell GTO Flex Lines work like a charm and allow unrestricted access to the dip stick. They're a little longer than ideal for this installation but they're cheap, readily available, and high quality. (I cut a relief in the plastic cowl cover lip for extra clearance.) I tried various attempts to mount the filter on the cowl brace but I couldn't resolve the dipstick access issue so I stayed with the valve cover mounting via the studded coil-pack fasteners. The Filter is sold a direct replacement for the Ford GT350/GT500 for about $100 and comes with a 10 micron stainless mesh media. It's rebuildable and has various filter media and micron size options. I'm still curious how the KPM Filter packages clears the lousy dip stick access?

Here's my GT500 DIY approach as I have a Vortech Kit and the coolant reservoir makes clearances a little tighter. A little bit dark in the picture my apologies.
