My butt dyno isn't happy with the top end power I am seeing in long straights at the track.

Above 90mph, the acceleration is not what I would expect from 711hp/658tq.

Heat soak? Too high expectations?

I do see CHT around 235-240F. I pull off the track at 244+

Appreciate any insights.

Need more info. Datalog it and see how much timing it's giving. What are your IAT2 temps?

The Roush tune will cut max engine load (close the throttle) at high iat, and high iat isn’t that hard to reach with the pitiful intercooler. Some of that can be helped with a tune. Is e85 an option?

Sorry guys. I have no data right now. I will make sure to get a log the next time I track it.

e85 is not widely available near me which is crazy because I live in NASCAR country.

I do plan on getting an IC chiller over the summer. I can also have it 'retuned' if that is a good idea.

Unless you’re running a centrifugal, blowers are no good road racing. It is heat soaked too fast.
Rosh comes too small the inner cooler maybe you could fit the Whipple upgrade to Work with your car? stick shifts are a lot better for track as well, automatic heat up too much.
As mentioned earlier, if you can do an E 85 run the engine, a whole lot cooler that seem to be the saving grace for our supercharged cars. The alcohol is seem to pull the heat out. Is this a Performance packed car it should’ve came with an oil cooler that will help too. What are your oil temps on my 24 Whipple for first thing it heats up after short pool is my oil temperature every damn time I can’t imagine how I would run with an open course and I do not have an oil cooler.
