This will be of interest to the 15-17 owners running the Roush TVS or looking to run this set up. I’ve been running the Roush Phase 2 kit on my 17 since new and loved the first 7,300 miles, but now I’m saying the heck with any Roush parts warranty and turning it up.

Current Set Up.....

2017 Mustang GT
- 6 Speed Manual
- 3.55 Gears
- Roush Phase 2 Supercharger
- Roush Tune
- 80mm Pulley
- 60mm Throttle Body
- 47lb Injectors
- Fuel Control Booster(BAP)
- Roush Cold Air Intake
- Roush Axle Back Exhaust
- Steeda H Pipe
- BMR Cradle Lockout Kit
- BMR Rear Vertical Links

Soon to be installed mods....

- VMP Twin 67mm Throttle Body
- Pmas Cold Air Intake
- 79mm Pulley
- 56lb Injectors
- Brisk Racing Spark Plugs RR14YS Silver
- VMP Custom 93 Octane Dyno Tune
- VMP Custom Boostane Dyno Tune

It’s scheduled for install the end of May at Carlisle Ford Nationals so I will share the before mods dyno and after mods dyno and see the gains it made.

If the car is primarily street driven, I'd go with NGK 6510 Iridium plugs. They'll last longer than the Brisk ones. I'd also go with a larger injector. Just in case some day you want to go with an E85 tune.

No E85 really available much in Northern NJ so it’s strictly going to be 93 or 93 with Boostane. It’s strictly a street car and I’ll look at the plugs you recommended. The plugs I listed is what VMP suggested. If it was needed I would have gone with FIC1000’s or ID1050’s.

@hossman

Very interested in your results. I just went from a VMP Gen 2r w/60mm twin, 85mm pulley, and Rousch CAI to a twin 68mm, 79mm pulley, Fore system, DW95s, Kooks long tubes no cats, and a PMAS. I’m also on E85. I’m currently in tune mode and sending revision logs. Freezing rain here today, so no WOT. Maybe tomorrow.

Soooo.... what’s the news? You’ve kept us in suspense for 4 months!! This is worse than Apple launching a new iPhone.

Sorry for the delay but here it is....

Upgrades done to the Roush Phase 2 Kit on 17 Mustang GT 6spd Manual w/3.55 gears

- 79mm pulley
- VMP Triple Pass Heat Exchanger w/Dual Fans
- FIC1000 Injectors
- 170 Degree Reisch Thermostat
- Pmas 120mm Intake
- VMP 67mm Twinjet Throttle Body
- Brisk Racing Silver RR14YS
- 93 and 100 Octane Boostane Tune

93 Tune: 656rwhp 531rwtq
100 Tune: 688rwhp 554rwtq

Had decent fuel quality and was very warm and did several pulls and my tuner said it was pulling 2 degrees of timing and I could expect to see 20-30 more hp on 93 tune and 25-35 more hp on 100 tune.

He could push it more but was concerned about the stock cats so we are leaving it here which is right where I wanted to be for a strict street car power wise.

Still on stock clutch, driveshaft and half shafts so I will be addressing those parts soon.

Awesome stuff man. Nice to see that Boostane really does make a difference too.

Mike & Justin were doing the tuning and Mike tuned my car.

That Boostane stuff is really good and safe. Works wonders. I am going to put about 3oz of Boostane in with every tank of 93 octane to make sure it’s always got good octane even if I get some crap gas.

I almost did a blower swap for the VMP Gen 3 but I held off and want to run my setup for awhile.

I don’t know Mike, but VMP is great. As for holding off on the Gen3.... I couldn’t have shown the restraint being that close. You have some really good self control.

VMP was releasing the Gen3R so I decided to wait and see how that is going to perform over the Gen3. Since I’m limited to 93 or 100 octane it might not make sense to run the Gen3R for my set up. It really is surprising that we have virtually no E85 in Northern NJ/NYC area.

Mike Weedin the tuner you will see in a lot of the VMP Install and dyno videos. He has a beard and tattoos like a biker guy.

Man I was planning on buying all of the stuff you bought except the pmas. Was going with jlt. I have the same phase 2 as you, also have long tube headers. I made 636 Rwhp and 535 torque. Not sure I want to buy all that now for maybe 25-30 hp gain. Might have to just blower swap

I don’t have long tube headers which is good for some more power. The car was holding back 2 degrees of timing too so like my tuner said when it’s not pulling timing 680-690 on 93 and 710-720 on 100 octane is damn good power to me.

Yeah, from those numbers I would think I’m up in that 700+ range. I’m the same setup but catless longtubes and E85.

Those are strong numbers on both 93 and 100 octane.
