I previously had a 2022 Ecoboost convertible and the turn signal sound was basically normal and I was able to hear it with no issues. Maybe on the highway with the top town I couldn't but any other scenario it was fine.

Last August I sold the Ecoboost and picked up a 2022 GT convertible. I noticed right away that the turn signal sound was very low and almost impossible to hear. Even with the top up at low speeds I cannot hear it. If I'm stopped a stop light I can just barely hear it. It almost sounds like the speaker where the sound comes from is muffled. If I didn't have another 2022 Mustang before this one I would probably pass it off as normal.

The GT does have the fully digital dash where the Ecoboost did not but I can't imagine the turn signal sound would be different with different clusters. I'm not even sure where the sound for the turn signal comes from, it sounds like it's under the dashboard. Is the sound normal? Does anyone have any ideas on where to start to diagnose the issue?

Found this at Amazon. Hope it helps. Good Luck.

Based on design and customer feedback, the Bussmann NO.577 Thermal Loud Flasher has the most pronounced click. Here's why:
Most Pronounced Click:
•
Bussmann NO.577 - Specifically engineered as a "loud flasher" with heavy-duty thermal mechanism that produces a sharp, mechanical clicking sound
Runner-ups:
•
Bussmann BP552RP - Heavy-duty thermal flasher with strong mechanical click, though slightly less pronounced than the NO.577
•
Universal Parts Audible Relay - Marketed specifically as "audible" with prominent clicking
Key difference: Thermal flashers like the Bussmann models use a bimetallic strip that physically snaps when heated, creating that distinctive loud "click-click" sound. Electronic relays tend to produce softer, less pronounced clicking sounds.
The NO.577 is the go-to choice when you specifically need maximum audible feedback from your turn signals.

The S550 Mustangs don't use physical flasher relays. Turn signal function is controlled by the BCM in the passenger kick panel.
I'm sorry I don't know where the "relay" noise is generated or if it's possible to increase the volume.

I believe the volume can be adjusted through Forscan.

That is helpful information that it doesn't use physical flasher relays. I found some information about increasing the volume with a google search but it all relates to the Mach E.

Forscan can switch the source of the sound between stereo and instrument panel. The IP is quiet while the stereo sounds about 10X louder. I switched mine to the IP for that reason.
