I’ll be glad to lay it for if you’d like. I’d suggest that’s not the best path to take. I’m trying to be nice here Harry. I’ll touch on the price alone. I’m going to call tomorrow and actually see if they’ll bite. I highly doubt it, because no way I would. I’d actually like to do another fi setup on one, but an r this time. Had to sell my other due to space constraints which aren’t an issue now.

Interesting you mentioning that HR289 would sell for not that far off of the $100,000 mark therefore wondering what comps do you have to back that up?

Also interesting to read that you mentioned there's not a chance that HR289 will sell for around the $75,000 to $80,000 mark?

When looking at the 3 most recent sales of low mileage 2017 R models on BaT with those 3 vehicles averaging 208 miles on the odometer, the average OTD price for those 3 examples was ~$80,490.

It was also nice to see that 2 out of those 3 vehicles came with an OEM Shelby GT350 car cover and their respective 2017 GT350R Owners Kit even though it seems that those items may have very little or no value to you.

As far as you suggesting that I am not presently involved with the purchase of these or similar HP Blue Oval vehicles at any price, you just might want to rethink that comment again.

If they bite, send me a DM Charlie. I’ll be up that way later this week and can stop by and get a visual for you.

Charlie, have fun tomorrow as already went down that path therefore good luck.

They have no idea what they have and it is my understanding that this vehicle is on consignment from one of their customers who supposedly is a high-end car collector which includes some various Ferrari models.

Asked some questions about the chassis number, owners kit, shipping blocks, bumper sag TSB, etc. and they were like a deer looking into some headlights as they could not answer even one question.

Was asked if I wanted a start-up video of the vehicle after which time I responded back that with less than ~1/2 gallon of gasoline in the tank that might be risky and who knows how long the small amount of remaining gas has been in the tank?

My understanding is that the present owner bought this unit second hand and is looking to downsize his car collection thus the sale of HR289.

Asked who chose the asking price and how they came up with that number?

Could not get a straight answer but suggest that may have come from the present owner but pure speculation on my part.

Back to the issue at hand, here is the exact same year and spec of the aforementioned mentioned car, at less than half the price with 26k miles…but still more than I paid 😬

Where are the carbon fiber wheels?

You would think the buyer would point out that the wheels are off the car and included in the sale. Also, where are the pictures of said wheels? I think the buyer used a generic listing for a GT350R and the wheels are not included. I sent a message to find out.

Love this exterior color coming with sans stripes for the final GT350/R production year.

Of the 20 colors that were made available to us enthusiasts for these 2-seat models, Grabber Lime was the 4th rarest color for the 6-year GT350R model run.

Only Rapid Red, Grabber Blue and Twister Orange were rarer than these Grabber Lime cars.

Some very good results on BaT in the last month.

I think it's fair to say the S650 7th gen has been a bit underwhelming so far? Ford seems content on making their own special versions as well as no Shelby team up in sight. Plus the Dark Horse SC price announcement was shockingly high. I think all of this factors into the S550 GT350R just becoming more and more special over time in comparison to the current models.

Was just talking to my brother about this. I looked at Autotrader last night and out of 48 cars, the cheapest was 68.8k for a 2017 with 27k miles.

This is a great tracking tool and clearly shows an uptrend starting.

When looking at the 6-year recent run of Mustang Shelby GT350R which includes the exotic, high strung and high revving NA 5.2L FPC engine, Carbon Fiber wheels from Carbon Revolution, Carbon Fiber rear wing from Multimatic, unique springs and anti-sway bars, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, rear seat delete, resonator delete, unique and rare 136 Base R models along with the ungraded steering rack for the 2020 GT350R MY and 281 HEP examples for the final GT350R production year, what is not to like!

Suggest that us Mustang enthusiasts may never see anything like the 2015-2020 Mustang Shelby GT350R scenario ever again therefore suggest that demand, value and collectability is on the rise which certainly makes a great deal of sense from my standpoint.
