I like the concept and the name…

The concept being that they have designed it as a “basic” truck with no froo-froo BS with a bazillion screens, plush options, etc.

We need basic “trucks” again, not freaking plush sofas with amenities on wheels…

I hope the brand grows and they offer a full size lifted version at some (and possibly get an ICE option too).

honestly, if it holds to what they are stating right now, I may get one. would work as a nice commuter and runs to lowe's/home desperate.

it is cheap enough its not a concern with it not filling a role as a primary vehicle. like the tomo temu whatever the hell the other one is that runs like 45-50k they said. I could not justify that for something that doesn't function as the all around vehicle (never mind that I have a garage kept mach 1 with only 5400 miles on it at 3 years of ownership)

would I prefer ICE and maybe up to 5k towing? yeah, for sure. granted, it is enough to tow a small trailer and mower to the shop. or quite a good bit of lumber. if I need more, my bronco or wifes 4runner can tow up to 5k. need more...well, atm my 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons are going up for sale. they have to get replaced eventually anyways. but I really do not have interest in driving another 3/4 ton as a daily just for the occasional use to haul with.

I dunno. was thinking about picking up a 80-86 F-150 2wd 300 i6 for new commuting/dirty work. saving bronco for weekends/camping. but this could fill that niche as well

No idea what a slate is. Jeff Bezos though, so that says a lot lol. May be a few corners cut here and there but the dealer network will be amazing! I have one in my Amazon cart right now. Can’t wait to see how the delivery driver will toss this into my porch.

Sub 20k (after rebates of course lol). We’ll see.

Not for me though. Not really like a real truck. Now, do the same in a small Miata like package and I’m all over that!
