I previously had a 2016 that didn't have the problem. So, no doubt, something changed. I'll definitely reference your experience as I experiment. May end up using the exact same solution, but since it's a new problem, I want to explore options.Whether its the seat side bolster or the console, it really doesn't matter. I spoke to my SVT technician, who I trust implicitly, and he indicated there was no lateral adjustment for the seat or the console. Our weight on the seat also contributes to the eventual widening of the seat area, as well. I used a silicone lubricant (similar to heavy Vaseline) applied on the left lateral lower side of the console where the seat is rubbing. It will not damage either surface and it stopped the noise immediately. I think this is the best solution, and after applying the thin coat on the console, I've had no noise. I use the feature that moves the seat back when you turn off the engine, so it get a lot of use going forward and back when I enter or exit the car. I did this two weeks ago and no more noise. I think this is your best option.
