Is this the bellhousing cover plate?
Id like to take mine off and rubberize it if it would help.
I have a rattle that I've always thought was shift linkage related, but maybe its this??
on the steering change.
does anyone know if it was a electronic calibration or a hardware change.
if it is a calibration could an 18 be updated with a flash from the dealer
I am curious how the steering feel compares.
can the tramlining be improved?
I just did my first oil change at 2300 miles on my 18.
it has about 10-15psi more now at comparable temp and RPM.
that would make the claim in that oil article that the motorcraft oil shears down to 5-40 over use and time plausible.
they also used the newer 2087 filter. (not sure which one I...
my 18 was at 0 toe new. I tried putting just a scratch of toe in as an experiment to see if tramlining was reduced. it did help a bit but not world changing. for track this would not be desirable however.
I haven't done it myself, but the bolts from the strut to the spindle have some slop and...
I'm in California so 91 is typically the best you find
however luckily there is a station about 10 min from me that has 100 at the pump
based on the tables maxing at 93 I will mix it to get about 95. This makes me feel better with a couple points margin for pinging and the hot weather around...
Ultimately a HD diesel truck is going to tow better.
But to tow 6000lb 10 times a year is a waste of a HD work truck the other 355 days.
In any situation the set up is key. And it is mostly the distribution of Wight on the trailer. when you go through truck scales and the axle weights aren't...
I have towed with Raptors often(I've had 3) and I have a 19 Ranger also, but have not towed with it. I also have a SuperDuty and a Peterbilt and a class A license.
I would avoid towing another car with the Ranger but would not hesitate for a second with the Raptor
Yes the springs are soft but...
Interior room is going to be comparable to your Jeep as far as leg room and shoulder to shoulder room to your passenger.
It is going to be far more nimble and sporty compared to the Jeep.
if you feel more comfortable with more mass around you and may need to tow occasionally then F-150. If your...
I daily one of my work vehicles mostly. But its always musical vehicles.
I do off road testing and suspension tuning for work so I have to put miles on them and drive them as much as possible otherwise I would daily the 350 more. I try and drive the 350 2 days a week. I'm in SoCal so I hardly...
I tried Torco Accelerator in a couple of tanks because I was under the impression that it didn't contain MMT. but apparently it does. I guess I will stop using it.
there is a station with a 100 octane pump close to me but the station is kinda trashy so I'm not sure I trust it.
I got the GT350 for the sound and high revs of the Flat Plane crank. plus the uniqueness and overall balance.
I've always been a truck guy and my wife is like " what made you want this car?" if they put the motor in delivery van I would have gotten that.
incidentally I got almost the exact...
I've towed a lot with Raptors. They do fine with a load distributing hitch.
I've towed a 26' enclosed with a race car in it for across country before. gas milage…..not great when towing
I'm new to the Mustang and performance car world, but I do a lot with the Raptor enthusiasts for work as the lead Engineer for ICON Vehicle Dynamics.
I do a lot of off-road performance driving and I used to race Baja
but this is new for me, so I will have a lot to learn!
I got the GT350 just...
