OK , another month has passed, how about an update, I'm still in the market to get a better filter, actually past due... some significant progress has to be expected by now.

I don't think there's a better part than the OEM filter, for pure efficiency.

They're cheap and easy to replace too.

Well........not that easy to replace. Ford sure as hell wedged the lid to the damn CAI box in there real right.

In fact, it's a real pain in the ass to open it.

Hard to beat the paper for filtration. If you want maximum airflow at the track just throw one of these in. ;).

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude!!!!

That would rip. Is that a real thing? Or just something someone made by cutting away the filtration element?

I'd fear very lean A/F ratios with that.

Just cut/pull out the paper. No, it does not run lean. ;).

So, you run that at the track? On the street?

Fuck it, I'm going to try it just once. See what it's like.

More power? Louder intake noise?

Both, but not all the time. Better throttle response and a tad more power. It’s better than running no filter because it seals the airbox better. Mine is on the corn with an 88mm ported throttle body. It rips.

Keeps humming birds out of the engine. :bandit: But OK for track use.

Did you do any dyno test comparing the bird catcher to the OEM filter?

Anyone heard an update on the TKO filter? I’m starting to think it isn’t going to happen.

if it filters well enough and flows significantly more than a stock filter I would most likely buy one.

I too was interested in the TKO filter, but I got tired of waiting and bought two AFE dry filters instead.
