What are the biggest size twin turbos you guys would recommend ? Originally I was thinking SC . But now I'm thinking 2 big twins . 2017 mustang gt . Goal is to reach 800hp . May eventually go more . What do you think ? Would u go bigger than day hellion 62mm ?
If you only want 800hp, and are driving on the street, go with the 55's, as they will spool faster. They might suffer a bit on the top end, but probably not much at that power level.

How different would a 55 be to a 62 ? I know the 62 would take more to spool , however once spooled would hit harder
Hello. There are a few things to consider. We keep the 62mm units standard because they are a great match to this engine in most cases. We however use the 55mm units on Gt350 cars to help make up spool time to help
create low end torque with the 5.2 (the larger cams and port size makes the Gt350 have less low end and more top end power). If you have a 18+ auto the 10 speed will mate well with the 62 mm turbos, and give a great range of power. Some folks like to option the 55mm units on 15-17 cars with less gears in the transmission, to make power quicker. The 55 Precisions are very powerful if optioned, we went 8's with them years ago, and there are members on here who have gone faster than that.

Bottom line, you will not be disappointed with either :)

Please let us know if we can help.

If you opted for 55mm turbos it will easily make that with a 3 inch exhaust and proper fueling. We have made over 1000 with those turbos. The 62mm units can make over 1200 to the tire.

I got 62s and i make 800 wheel on 14lbs. the turbos take a bit to spool but once they hit at around 3-4k rpm its a big hit and it keeps pulling up top. The 55s should be great though for your goal and i think with those you get instant torque appose to waiting a bit longer for the 62s to spool. once i build mu block I wanna get to 18-20 lbs on my set up

on 91 shitty CA gas spraying meth i was at 600 wheel on 8.5 lbs. so 93 maybe 630-650 wheel? and yes your guna need to know how much you wanna spend. Take my advice and buy once appose to opting to a cheaper option. cuz aside the turbos and install you'll need injectors, BAP and other things like that. better tires, tune etc..
