The more air you shove into the engine. The more fuel is required. (More air. More fuel. More horse power) Doesn’t matter what’s doing the shoving. (whipple, turbos, a leaf blower) The cheapest/most reliable way to get to your 800-850hp goal. Is to keep the whipple and just upgrade your fuel system. YOU DONT NEED TO GO TO TURBOS TO REACH YOUR GOAL! Now if your having buyers remorse after installing the Whipple. That sucks for you.
This pretty much sums it up

I was wondering why people don’t drop the CR more often on these FI set ups. It’s not like it’s a major engine build, and can be done without removing block right ?
Cheap insurance ? Can someone enlighten me .

Unfortunately 690 hp on 91 octane puts you on borrowed time. Knock will eventually get this engine.

12:1 + boost + 91 octane + heat + 690whp = bad results.

I would advise to step up to E85 in the near further or do it after your rebuild.

Btw 690 whp is 770hp on the crank. Add that to the 60hp to turn blower makes 830hp on the crank.

Pulling heads in car with the engine sitting so crazy close to firewall is about as much fun as ramming your knuckles into a running blender.. repeatedly... Lol, I started and was like no efffing way and pulled the motor.
Besides, if you stud the motor which makes sense for pushing to 1000rwhp, head swap in car is then impossible.

Dropping the pan to be able to torque rods is a bitch. You need to drop the k member just to get the pan off.
I swapped a GT350 pan onto my 2015 for road course work and hung the k member from chains when dropping. It 'works' but would be a PITA and then leave you a shitty body position for torquing rods.
I drilled 1/8" holes before unbolting to make alignment pins so the wheel alignment all checked out perfect on reassmebly.

You’re already at the limit of 91, you could probably add some boostane and pulley down to to 800rwhp. Pump gas is just not good for these high compression engines

As said, you're already at the limit of 91. Going turbo will not gain you much more.

You need to switch to E85 (preferably) or a methanol injection setup to make that power no matter what type of FI it is.

Lol, That's asking for punishment on 91.

So currently am running a whipple on my manual 2018 mustang gt. It dynoed 690 at 7000 rpm and it’s limited at 8250 so roughly 700/715 I call it. On 91 octane and a very revised and made tune and it’s maxed at. ill Be honest I don’t know much if not anything about turbos. Would 850 wheel be achievable with twins? I’m looking at hellhorses twin turbo mid engine mount kit or hellions twin turbo sleeper kit. I like the whole idea of hidden turbos etc. Give me your thoughts and opinions down below thanks!! Also e85 is roughly 25 miles away. Is 850 wheel on 91 with a manual 18 possible thanks
On straight 91 with that setup no, you might get closer on a gt350 motor. You could hit it with a water/methanol injection system (a big one).

It's more than that, it's related to knock and detonation, that's the main factor. Pushing more 91 octane fuel into the cylinder isn't going to help.

Don’t mean to derail this thread and I mean no disrespect and to each there own but I wouldn’t even buy this car if I couldn’t put at least 93 in the tank let alone boost it on 91.
