Well, I like mine over the GT350 because of cost.

Roush dealer-installed supercharged P2 a6 premium 44K out the door.

i don’t know why, but I actually prefer the 5.0 GT with PP over the GT350... the things I do like about the gt350 better is the front fascia, kinda the teemed 6 speed. I hate the black toggle switches and no ambient lighting. I do love the sound of the GT 5.0 better especially with a good catback.
I'm late to the discussion but I have the, somewhat, unique perspective of owning both a 2015 GT Auto with PP and 2017 GT350R. I enjoy both cars for very different reasons. The 2015 GT w/Auto is more of a cruiser but can be a lot of fun in Sport mode. It's a more relaxed experience relative to the GT350 but still a whole lot of fun in Sport mode. I took this on 2000+ mile road trip and was quite comfortable. I still really enjoy driving it after owning for 4 years now.

The GT350 is a beast. It takes, for me, a lot more engagement. Not just because it's a manual but managing the power (especially in corners), rev matching downshifts (which admittedly I'm still mastering) and of course doing my best to keep the front splitter in one piece. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy it or it can't be taken on a long road trip it's just a different experience. I didn't/don't really miss the manual transmission in the 2015 GT w/Auto as Sport mode really can be fun. I don't think I'd want the GT350 in w/Auto as it's the car that begs you to stay fully engaged.

A good part of my experience can be attributed to the Auto vs. Manual but the GT350's other attributes sure complement the transmission well. I love and enjoy them both. They're in different cities/states so I don't get a chance to drive them back to back but I wouldn't trade either for anything else on the market today.

I always wanted gt350 but bought gt premium p1 with a10, magnaride, active exhaust. My goal was to make my version of a gt350 with a10 and cooled seats. So far I’m very happy with the GT currently and was able to track with a gt350 at a track day last March. My car has been upgraded e85, headers, tune and 6gr wheels tires Michelin steeda bars braces irs springs bushings etc, gt350 axle, and gt350 brakes.

So much more of a car now than it was in stock form for how I wanted it. Yeah Ive spent more money in the long run but it’s ok because its what I wanted and Im grateful the options are there to do so. Mustangs FTW.

There will always be a percentage of drivers who enjoy a great deal of involvement with their cars, regardless of inconveniences. God Bless 'em! They improve the breed for all of us. Without drivers like that we would all be driving cars as exciting as Buicks or 4 cylinder Camrys. I used to belong to that group, but I want a little more comfort and convenience in my old age. I can't imagine being old enough to drive a Buick... must be at least 105.

You've apparently been driving the wrong Buick. I'd take this GSX Stage 2 over a 350R and GT combined. Arguably one of the best muscle cars of all time.

Nice if you are a lover of old 1/4 mile cars. (Can't lay the power down without slicks) Today, give me the GT and the GT350R!

I have not been driving any Buick, thank you. And you know very well which Buicks I was referring to... those favored by the old and driving skill challenged until the Camry came along. I do not wish to start an argument over the best muscle car ever, so I will let you enjoy your fantasy!

A mint GSX Stage 1 could easily bring $150K which would more than buy a new 350R and GT and all the mods you would ever want to do to them. With the extremely rare Stage 2 kit, you would probably be in the $200K ballpark. Still want the 350R and the GT? That's a lot of ADM.

No argument needed. Never said it was THE best, but one of the best. The '70 Chevelle 454 may have been a bit quicker, but the 455 Buick was the torque king.

Actually I was referring to the driving experience. Not what some dummy would be willing to pay for each.

I would never even consider driving a manual so for me GT500 > GT5.0 > GT350

That's the great thing about the GT350, it's not for everybody - keeps it desirable/exclusive. Auto cars are dime a dozen
