So I buttoned up my catless header install. Which was definitely more difficult than 15-17 cars.

The car actually sounds good considering, but it needs to be toned down a bit. In quiet mode it sounds like hammered dog shit. Normal mode is good, but past 3k it's a tad obnoxious. Track mode definitely has a race car sound.

I'm thinking of trying these to tone it down. If it's not enough, I can always add two more and still come out cheaper than most other options.

I'll have them welded in right after the headers were the fake cat is. Should keep it clean looking.

Looking for any input or suggestions.

Aren't the "fake cats" usually a muffler similar to what you linked anyways? Not sure how much a 3" muffler will really be able to do in terms of toning things down, with two more pairs maybe.

Its just a hollow housing.

We run them on race our "race cars" for street car events lol. But they actually make a noticeable difference.

I'm planning on doing the same, but with the 24250 version, which is 4" shell diameter. In for results

Vibrant 1794s (3" in and out, 12" long) did the trick for my ARH LTH to Corsa Xtreme setup. Calmed down overall volume some, tamed some of the rasp. More refined if you will.

I've tried the Vibrant race mufflers, very similar to those. They basically did nothing. As recommended by azyote I'd suggest the longer 12" resonators. They'd be right at home after the crossover.

Magnaflow True X resonated midpipe or a pair of Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonators will remove the hammered shit sound, I promise.

I pulled the trigger on the 9" version. I'll hopefully be able to get them on this coming up weekend.

I've seen a number good reviews on the 9" version for people just trying to tone things down a little.

I must say though, track mode sounds absolutely beastly right now. It has more snap crackle pop than a bowl of rice crispies with fire crackers in it.

I got the 16" Dynomax race bullets and welded them in where the resonator would be. At full throttle it's just as load as before they were installed, at half throttle it's slightly lower then they were before they were in and when cruzing or light throttle it's pretty calm. No drone anymore. The best part is the cab noise was greatly reduced.

Resonators should be the first thing on someone's list who has headers and needs to "calm" down their exhaust setup a bit. It calms the harsh tones and the overall volume a little bit.

These should work perfectly. Cupped my hands around the exhaust tip with one in my hands and it definitely knocks the volume down and gives it a deeper tone. I'll hopefully have them put on this weekend.
