Mine sounds absolutely nothing like the videos.
However...
I can hear a very slight gear noise in the cabin at idle. Nobody else hears it.
It’s something you need to be listening very carefully for.

I had a tvs and a whipple, both had a slight, I mean like you need a trained ear to hear it, slight whistle at idle. nothing out of the ordinary and typical for a supercharger. never had a knocking or ticking. at 850rwh+

Gotcha. I'm ok with a very light noise, and understandably it would be normal with such an add-on. The whistle would be a plus for sure, just no knocking of the drive gears like the video's. So far it looks like the Coyote crowd isn't experiencing this, which is great. After reviewing the Roush/Ford kit instructions.....I really do not want to grind on my block tab/ect to do an install. To me, I really would like a totally reversible install, as at some point it may come off if the car gets traded/ect.

Whipple still has my eye no doubt......too many good reviews and stories to not keep it as my #1 consideration, and super thankful for your guys honest opinions!

I've had Whipple's kits on pretty much every single project car of ours since 09. (2008 GT500, 2010 GT500, 2013 GT500, 2011 GT, 2015 GT, 2018 GT, 2003 Cobra, 2012 Raptor)

They make an awesome product that performs and runs great. None of them exhibited any type of noise at idle that was bothersome or of concern.

I wouldn't hesitate getting one at all. Buy it, Send it!

Let us know if there's anything we can do for you. We're Whipple's largest US distributor and here to assist you.

I think you’re confused with a centri setup, those make idle sounds like They put marbles in them and whistle so loud all the neighbors dogs come around to play

did you ever purchase it? Just got mine installed this weekend and i have this rattle. whipple said it is ok for the first 100-200 miles. hoping it would go away soon. it gets louder when the car gets hotter but the car seems to be running fine .

Yes. I have had the system on for over 1k miles, probabaly at least 30 hard pulls, dragstrip and dyno use. So far, I am 100% satisfied with zero issues.

Search my posts, I have some underhood videos of it running floating around. It is very quiet.

I need to get a video of it, but there is a *small* and I mean small sound, best I can describe it is a "click, click.......click, click.......click click" at hot idle speed. With the hood shut, you really have to strain to hear it, and my car has entirely stock exhaust as well so no other noises masking anything.

I fought some belt squeak issues (using the supplied Gates belt, and also a Continental OEM series) in the beginning, so perhaps when my blower was 'breaking in' it may have had the noise and been masked by the awful squeek I had at first. I ended up switching to a Motorcraft belt about 1k miles ago with no issues, and probably 30 passes on it at this point plus street/daily driving.

Yes, I had the MAF positioned improperly in this video, it has since been corrected.....

I will try and get a video soon at hot idle for comparison to try and help out.
