car built on 12/22 and arrived in mechanicville, ny on 1/2 and is scheduled to arrive to my dealer in eastern mass sometime this week per ford performance.

haven't heard directly from the dealer since 12/22 being sent my window sticker and advised it being built.

I am still waiting with no VIN or any news other than I have a deposit on one and I am waiting for the order to be "pulled." At what point do they start making 2017 model year cars, I don't know what to make of this wait.

I think the end of the 2016 model year will be in late July or August. Usually there's some downtime between the end and start of years for retooling and such.

Your allocation will either be for Q1 or Q2. Ask your dealer to talk to the regional zone rep and find out. That'll narrow it down to about 3 months at least.

thanks. just sent the email but i am expecting the usual "will let you know as soon as i know." hope it all works out, i might start calling around again if i don't hear by march.

Assuming that G5000 is the last 2016 Shelby GT350 built you can bet that it would be more marketable.

I don't know about making any cutoff...it left Flat Rock on Jan 2...pretty much in the dead of winter. the original talk about not shipping R's during winter months seemed to suggest that they wouldn't be shipping nov-feb.
Who knows. I'm just glad that it's now made it to Kirk Yard, Indiana!
It's supposed to be a balmy 20 degrees there tonight...brrrr.

If the car is moved in 20 degrees weather the tires could form cracks. It happened to the Z06 vettes last year. Buyer beware.

Window sticker generated today, 12/16 Blend, so hopefully on track for the 1/11 build date. Goes by convoy to my dealer so hopefully that is fast, then on its was to the bay area.

Edit: I cant read, blend date is 1/12!

Does your window sticker say "convoy"? My dealer isn't too far away and mine says "Rail". Mine was finished being built on Monday.

Yes it does, was surprised as well. I wonder what the criteria is for rail vs convoy. Total distance or distance+proximity to a rail yard or main interstate?

My dealer is only about 15 miles off of I-80! Not sure if it is better to go by rail or convoy.

Mike G from Ford performance told me, that it can say Rail or convoy and it still might go
another way than stated.

my all black car arrived at my dealer today. going friday to do the paperwork and will pick it up on monday. have to wait due to out of state registration paperwork.

now it's really close. built 12/22 and shipped on 1/2 and arrived at dealer 1/6.
