My car is locked in aswell has been since late December, can't wait :)
Yep i got 'Locked in' on the 18th, which probably means sweet FA. and if anything mentioned earlier is to go by, the '10 days' may ben anytime from now, until the end of next week, assuming locked in then has 10 days before build starts, hopeful to pick it up in march still here :headbang::cheers:

Looks like they may be arriving on the same boat? I was told mine was delayed due to the glove box, either way March sounds good to me, should start to see some better weather then as well!

Yes, I think stiggy is in the same situation, me and him both were told 'November 11th' as build dates, then got kicked back, we've literally got >THE SAME< kinda drama, so might be 3 stangs on the same boat! Except mine will then be heading up to Birmingham.

I was told it could be any manner of things for the delay, however a lot of forum members within the November batch said it was a glove box airbag or something .

Regardless, post Novemeber they began building again, so obviously got the items they needed back in.

3 of us all tracking the boat will be fun, one updates, next will be a 'ditto' & 'Double Ditto'

Flat Rock back to work early

So today I've gone from dealer 'info' that my car would be built in March (ish) 2016 maybe, to a super quick response from Stacey on the new email address telling me my VIN and that my car is already built and at gate release stage. All of a sudden from no concrete info I have an Etis print and a window sticker and a build date of 29th December 2015.

I wasn't sure about the build date but checking the Flat Rock Facebook pages it looks like Ford fronted up with a load of overtime and the plant reopened early. Sounds like things are moving. :ford:

Wow that's good news. 3 months early is great!

Good news indeed slow hand, I sent an e mail yesterday afternoon, no reply as yet. I have a VIN but when I put it in Etis, all I get is location Flatrock, with little else.

Hopefully I'll hear soon from the help desk/customer support address

Did you see your namesake on Overhaulin' last night? Worth a watch; they built a 'new' '67 fastback with a Coyote engine.

I had emails back today confirming my car is at the committed stage and was given the order number & dealer code. As I did not know what that meant, I emailed Stacey back & she said that this means that I could change spec if I wanted. Next stage is segmented & looking at late Jan/ Feb build. I did also ask her to confirm the spec they had for me to make sure it was correct- it was all correct fortunately but thought it was worth checking. Looks like my car is being built to the timescale given by my dealer when ordered ( perhaps a little earlier than expected). Good quick turn around on emails from Stacey today Well Done Ford! I will now resist the temptation to check again for an update until early February - you never know, my dealer may even contact me by then!

I have emailed Stacey again to confirm if I can change my spec and add the black roof option as what you have been told and I have been told by my dealer as polar opposites. Car is committed but apparently I cannot change. That said I wouldn't put it past the dealer to not try and just tell me I can't... Will see what she says. If I can't get it done at the factory I'll have it done with a wrap post delivery.

Discovery. It's the latest series of Overhaulin. I think they are being repeated on Wednesday nights but it take a couple of weeks to catch up.
