I left it a good 6 months before I started bugging them, first I heard it was Early January, then late January, I'm not too sure bud placed my order sometime early July, I think I have emailed them about 3-5 times, might drop then another one in few days, one more can't hurt right?

I agree with Centurion07 by trait the fans who take more time out of their days to obsess about the cars (Like those on this forum) should, hold some extra weight over the 'average-joe' who 'Just likes the car'.
Fwiw, I think any available priority should be offered to those that walked into the dealership first and placed their order. I ordered before I'd even heard of this forum and came across it by chance. Only been waiting on the RHD mustang for a quarter of a century. Don't see how being on a forum makes anyone more deserving especially given there's probably guys out there who bought 64/5s new and maybe don't do the Internet.

In that case offering up available cars could only be done via the dealers and Ford UK.

Just my two cents; if my build goes ahead in the next two weeks I'm happy to wait on my order.

I don't think membership of a forum should matter but your order date should. I would not expect to get my car before someone who ordered before me no matter how much time I spend on forums. As it stands I registered this account long after I ordered a car. Infact I hadn't even looked here before my order but once I had placed a deposit I started reading more and more and found here.

Lets see what happens. Even if I can't get up the list my delivery date has come forwards 4 months already so if Ford speed up it might not be a long wait anyway!

Heretian how did you get a build date? Every time I ask is a roundabout date - sometime January

Do you have a VIN? Once you have that there will be a complete set of predicted dates in Vista.

I don't have a specific date. Just the Feb window but as I was given a May build and September delivery on my original order I am thankful for it speeding up. I have my order number and dealer code now though as just got a reply from the new email address.

Stacey has said that as my car is built to order they are unable to provide a vehicle with same or similar spec at an earlier date. Looks like either they won't look for cars "in transit" or in dealer stock or my Triple Yellow GT with all 3 options is so custom that I have to wait for my build slot.

Not quite what I expected based on Andy's post. I may reply and ask what is available in UK stock if I was willing to change colour...

For reference my current order status is "Committed"

I'm the same mate, and looks to be the same est build/delivery dates as me. Were u also scheduled for the nov 11 bath of build like myself and another user were (THink it was stiggy?)
It was indeed. Had a call from the dealer yesterday to say that ETA to them was now March 26th - but still based on Jan 11th build date.

That's an improvement over 9th April and I'm happy to take the car in March which was always my plan anyway. Just hope this schedule doesn't slip...

Not that I have been told
You might want to pester your dealer in the first instance. If you can get a reply from them then you may want to consider buying a lottery ticket ;)

Hopefully you get more than I did. The more I read Stacey's reply the more I think it was just a way of saying my car is on order and I have to wait for it. Decided against asking about other colours as don't think I would get much of an answer.

Looks like Karen is also manning these emails as i've had a responce from her on it (Or it's because I sent her the same email a few days before), needless to say it's another minor update but something i'm sure a lot can take solace in:

Firstly: As today is the first day the plant has reoppened systems are 'slow' and aren't updating as and when they'd want them to, as they're 'catching up'. This I can understand, if we assume they work, somewhat normal hours, they'll have only been open maybe 5 hours already, needless to say, probably still kicking up (Even if it wasn't normal hours, 11 hours isn't particularly a long time for a gigantic plant) the plants systems and what not.

My vehicle is locked in plant and is awaiting vin. It's been pushed as a priority and we're waiting to get a VIN for it. But i'll be updated on VIN/Build date as soon as Karen knows.

So in short - No vin, no build date, hopeful of early Jan, she's keeping an eye on it for me.

Would love to know what "locked in plant" means. I guess I could go a-Googlin'....

LOCKED-IN (Production Locked In): Vehicle material has been procured for vehicle build. Vehicle is within ten days of production and specification changes will not be accepted at this time.

From a Ford CMax forum. Would love to believe that as my status is the same, but...

I think mines been locked in since the week before they closed up... So that's like, well, 10 days will be wednesday.

I'd also like to believe that the materials have been 'Procured' for my vehicle build, but lets be honest, everyones got their vehicle materials procured somewhere in that facotry, it's just whether or not we're on the priority list.

It would be something, extremley nice if Andy/Karen could let us see the 'build schedules' for the mustangs and where each of ours are on this 'production line' (Ie a timeline of expected build time etc, with all cars on it)? However highly doubt the posibility of this with it being ford sensative information and what not.
