For the record i dont hate gm. I just prefer dohc typically . Havent seen an ls in the 5s yet. I like the ls motors over junky direct injection . Also i dont like the lt design. My choices come from deeper thought than ford vs gm. I care about hauling ass potential. I also find the new viper to rape the vette mod for mod and total potential for their price point and caliber of the types of cars they are. Im not impressed with how the c6 z06s have done nor the c7. I do not need to be educated on ls motors or lt motors. I belong to many forums to edcuate myself. I dont need second or third hand regurgitated crap told to me.

Viper > vette
Eh... a friend of mine bought a Viper 8 months ago. It's been in the shop due to electrical issues for 6 of those 8. The entire wire harness has been replaced, twice. Along with the A/C system and radio. Everything keeps shorting out. He can't wait to sell it. When everything works, I agree. But I just can't bring myself to roll the dice on Dodge reliability.

I agree on dodges. The viper is the only vehicle they make id buy. Thats ashame. The viper forums i hear nothing but great most of the time. My buddies is great. I considered one. I had a dealer offering me a 15 custom order with some smaller upgrades (no ta package) for 75ish OTD. I was so close to signing.

Im sad 2017 is the death of the viper. Its truly ashame.

They're incredibly badass... when they work. I love how it sounds. I hope they don't have their prices go sky high in a few years, would love to have one for a year or two.

You missed my edit at the end. I have a feeling the prices will go up.

LOL. This from the guy who claims a mustang over a camaro due to everyday live ability disregarding the slight "small" performance difference. Yet Viper > Vette.

Pssssst be careful, your GM hate is showing.
:lol:LOL coming right out of the gates swinging! Something tells me this isn't your first account on this forum.

I've had 2 C6Z's, 2 GT500's, Boss 302, 14GT, 15GT, etc. I've not driven a new 350 but so far it's numbers at the strip are not that different from a stock Boss 302. I ran 12.3's at 117mph in my stock Boss 302, and 11.5's at 123mph in my stock C6Z. The C6Z hauls ass over 130mph, which is when it goes into 4th gear. 4th gear pulls like 2nd gear all the way to 160mph. The 350 is just a different car, unfortunately much slower, but still a spectacular vehicle. I'd own a 350 before going back to another C6Z, just for the newness and appeal. Also, my 2008 1LZ C6Z weighed 3060lbs, roughly 600lbs less then the 350.

Well thats the thing, even though the gt350 weights pretty heavy, it still handles great! Ford is almost there with the new mustang's. All they have to do is loose 300+ lbs and maybe direct injection for a low end torque aid!

Which is the overwhelming majority of people. Car manufacturers cannot cater to the less 1 percent of the people who want a car that goes in the 6s haha.
So? It isnt about going 6s. Performance and fuel economy dont go hand in hand. People need to stop ruining performance cars with that crap. If people need better fuel economy buy an economy car. The watering down of an engines capabilities needs to stop. If people cant afford the mpg buy something else.

A lot of people dont understand what they are hoping for because they are simply uneducated. If more people knew, less people would want this.

I want a v8. In order for that to happen, it needs to meet the CAFE requirements, which means low PPM, which necessitates DI. I'm betting Ford will do PFDI but the pfi only days are coming to an end. At least be glad you can still buy a gas engine. If Tesla and all them have their way, you'd be riding (not driving) an electric car and that's it.
