So I emailed my dealer here in Sydney to chase some info on my car.

I said that after I spoke with him last time (1st Nov) that I got a call from Ford Oz saying I had a build date of 8th Dec with delivery 16th Feb, and did he have any further information for me such as the VIN.

This is the reply: -
I’ve just copied and pasted this off the delivery manifest:
ON ORDER 13/02/16 R5LH*O 129089 MUSTANG 2016.00 2DR FASTB GT 5.0L 4V 6SPD MAN MAGNETIC Morgan B***** CB
Looks like the 16th could indeed be true or at least very close!
No VIN number as yet, so hang in there ok.


So how did you guys get your VIN's? From Facebook?

Only a couple of hours later I got an email from Ford Oz saying the car had been completed and should shortly be on its way to the loading dock.

Well I guess there is some truth in everyone getting a 'personalised experience' in that everyone has had to chase up and obtain information about their car in different ways. :frusty:

The only thing the dealer provided me which was unsolicited was a headache

The prixcar tracking site has updated for my car this morning... It says it is being picked up from the holding yard today and due to be at the dealer on 24 December.

If that is accurate I'm assuming the car will be ready for delivery around the 30th due to Christmas.

Anyone else got any updated tracking details?

mine did say 24th..but i looked just before..and it has manifest id etc with an eta to dealer of 22nd.

Yeh, my EcoBoost has been sitting on their tracking site as "available" since Friday. With the timeframe of delivery up till the 24th. It was joined by another v8 today, it was on the Fidelio too. It is planned to be delivered to the same dealer as mine.
I have tried other Qld. dealers with the Prixcar tracking site. there has been a few of EcoBoosts delivered to the Gold & Sunshine coast dealers. makes me think there has been some tweaking of the line lock function to the V8s between the dock & the holding yard???

I had a call from Ford AU about an hour ago with an update on my vehicle. It's currently sitting in a holding yard in the NT, which is literally like 700 metres from the dealership on another road. It's apparently being sent to the dealership this afternoon, so hopefully they'll be giving me a call to pick it up soon, potentially tomorrow.
