I think its now official too, Prius owners are now equal with BMW owners as the biggest Prick$ on the road.
YES! I hate BMW drivers and Prius drivers so much. For different reasons. Prius drivers will cut you off in traffic and then slow down so you are stuck behind them. BMW drivers will just cut you off because they like being pricks.

I just love screaming pass Prius burning all the gas they saved up.
I once drove a Prius, these things are death traps. No acceleration what so ever. Super scary merging onto interstates. I've never owned a car that needs almost full throttle to merge onto the interstates.

As someone said above, the MAJORITY of them are asshole drivers. They are either doing 90+ (saving gas, right?) or doing 20 below the speed limit.
This one image sums up my feelings on Prius/Prii

So this happened last week, and I've been dealing with insurance and what not.
All damage was cosmetic and no bent frame just angry it happened but then kinda happy it did.

Prius turned on a red light and i had to slide to avoid a front on collision.
:mad::frusty::brokenheart:

No airbags deployed but im impressed at how well the mustang took the hit.

But now my v6 will have the GT Hood, grills and a black roof. Since I'm adding to the cost of repairs. Shell be breathing better soon enough.
That is f*cked up! In my experience, Prius drivers can't drive for sh*t. I would have drill that POS. Someone did that to me while I was in my truck that has a ram bar. I destroyed their little car.

Sorry about your accident. I hope everyone inside your car is alright. Unfortunately the bay area is littered with Priis. There's two types of Prius drivers. Either they're going really slow or they're going really fast but they both share one thing in common. They never pay attention to their surroundings.

Is that a cop sticking his finger in the face of the guy in the white shirt? Who's the girl with the red hair?

Having been a professional driver for years, one of the things they teach you is if something is in the road, you hit it. Swerving is far more dangerous. You introduce other lanes/cars/poles/ditches to the equation, plus losing control of your own vehicle. Your car is designed for frontal impacts.

small overlap front crash is a bit of a question mark. IIHS doesn't put much effort into "sports cars". Mustang does get a Green for its moderate overlap

Yep same here in Virginia! Every Prius driver here drives too fast whipping in and out lanes. And I say it everytime while driving the speed limit... "Don't you know I would smoke you?!" They always want to seemingly prove "a point".

I like trolling for priuses with my F350 with the tuner turned up to extreme
If you could see the look in their eyes after the diesel smoke clears "PRICELESS"

I don't know why there is Prius haters.

For one, the Prius is excellent engineering. Now whether it makes financial sense to buy one is another question. But who in the Mustang community is trying to get the most miles for the least dollars?

Two, Prius weighs about 3000 lbs. OP took a hit, got out of his car, took some photos, walked away, and then posted here that he hates Prius. But if you take a hit by an 8000 lbs 1-ton diesel truck, or even 6000 lbs SUV, you are pretty much cooked.

My 1 ton diesel truck (1999 F350 crew cab 7.3L 2wd Single rear wheels) weighs in at 6400 lbs. Now, given that, I would so take that prius out of commission. I agree that you are to take the accident head on if its in front of. Swerving can cause a loss of control and introduce other variables into the equation that now makes you responsible if you make contact trying to avoid said object. I also drive trucks for a living and this is what we are taught.
Years ago, my wife was riding with her grandmother. She (the grandmother) starts to pull into an intersection, sees a car coming at the last minute and stops. The car swerves to miss her and losses control and wraps it around a telephone pole. No contact to the grandma, and because of that, no ticket and no responsibility.

I suspect trucks have packed on a few pounds over the years. Still, way down south, truck enthusiasts like to bolt on the steel bumpers. I don't know how much those weigh, but they make trucks look heavier and more aggressive, as in, better not get hit by one, or you will be sorry.

Now, given that, I would so take that prius out of commission.
what's different about a Prius, vs. say a Civic? Other than some eco-bling? I am thinking you are the same guy that is the proud new owner of a metallic red Mustang GT, coming from a Civic Si. I would think you would be slightly more sympathetic to the small car drivers out there.

I agree, swerving is BAD. Don't do it. Unless you are in a Mustang, and then you can easily swerve at 90mph. :headbonk:
