sweet car! You will love the chemical guys products. I did a clay bar, glaze, two coats of sealant, and their carnuaba wax and then detail spray. Their products smell soooo good. Makes you feel like you are on a beach getting drunk and looking and chicks in bikinis rather than detailing a car.

What products did u use exactly?

And I've thought about doing white stripes and chrome rims but with black stripes just looks sexy

Thats where I'm getting most of my cleaning supplies and is less exspencive overall. I do use Collinite 845 for wax and Jose Gibbs Driven Race wax for quick detail and under the hood, best ever hands down. Too bad it didn't all come in till after last weekend but maybe that was good since they parked the show cars in a dust bowl area.

In this order:

Citrus wash
Deep Reflexions XP Glaze (I am at work, but I believe that is the name of it)
2 coats of jetseal sealant (109 I believe)
Pete's '53 carnauba wax
Then their synthetic quick detailer/clay lube

These are all products that came in a huge kit in the wash bucket. Now that I know more, they have some other products I am very interested in trying.

This was all applied by hand, I don't even own a machine. I have some of their wheel and interior products as well.

I should look into the Gibbs stuff. My car doesnt photograph well in the garage since I have a corrugated steel ceiling, it reflects lots of lines onto the car.

Here you can see the ceiling.

Great choice! Very photogenic color... I detailed mine with a clay bar and it makes the color that much deeper!

Finally got some pics in the sun. This color is unreal when its bright out. No more "it looks like race red". I never been more happy with a car like this. Recaro's are breaking in great. Gonna wait til the end of may until I do a major detailing job. Just bought all my stuff from chemical guys. Can't wait. Great overall color options by Ford this year. There's really no color I dislike. I'm glad my favorite color is orange cause I would have had a tough time choosing otherwise. Great job as always Ford!
Dang, too much sun! That beautiful red car has faded to a pale orange!

:D:D

Beautiful car, and great work on the clean/polish!

There is a 2015 Comp Orange GT Performance pack with a Build date of around 11/14 sitting on the lot of the dealership where I bought my 2015. Sitting there for 5 months I thought someone would have snagged it by now

It is fully loaded including the 50th package it's in Southern VT if anyone wants one

Man...this thread is making choosing harder. CO has always been my first choice but I've been looking into Avalanche now (waiting in the 350).

Would it be possible to get tired of such a bright color after a few years of ownership?

As the owner of a yellow '93 feature car and probably a future CO owner, I can say w/ utmost certainty the answer is a resounding 'no'.
