I'm no engineer, but I can't imagine a no tune T-body, is that really a thing?

im looking into this also. bbk has the 85mm in stock but not the 90mm. i would check my afr at wot rite before the swap then check it after. my intune can add fuel if needed. i will disconnect the battery cables for a few minutes then see if the computer can relearn the airflow.

Better throttle response 5-10hp in the bottom HP curve. Only 1-2hp up top. So most don't bother with this upgrade.

Aftermarket TB are a waste of money. PLENTY 800hp and more on stock TB's.

Here's my dilemma. A website has 20% off parts right now and BBK is offering an additional 10% mail-in rebate on top of that. The 85 mm throttle body would only cost $360 at this point. Worth it?

The reviews I have read on CJPP and AM are all positive. They all claim their car feels like it has better throttle response. I called AM and the rep suggested I buy the 85mm TB with my naturally aspirated car with a stock intake. He said the 90 mm should be reserved for a built motor or forced induction. I definitely don't want to pay $500 for the TB, but $360 has given me the itch. I figure I spent that much on my CAI, and if I didn't have a tune, the CAI would only yield 5-10 horsepower at best. So I'm really on the fence here.

Total waste of money. Spend that $360 toward an NGauge and tune.
