V6 manual with 3.55 gears is a lot of fun. It suits the more peaky nature of the engine really well.
THANK YOU!!!

I ordered my V6 manual 3.55 after testing a V6 auto 3.15, so it's good to have some input from someone in the know. As nice as the auto/3.15 drove, I was hoping for a little more grit and zip from the manual/3.55. Sounds like I can get my hopes up even more!

You won't be disappointed. I actually ordered that spec originally. Funds and other circumstances allowed me to comfortably get the base GT, but I'd have no regrets over a V6 w/ 3.55 and manual trans.

Has anyone else noticed that the best threads on this Forum all center around the lowly Cyclonic Mustangs? "And the last shall be first"...
Theories...

1) The 3.7 is the best performance/dollar ratio in the lineup...

2) Our egos don't need stroking (unless we have the need to add a 5.0 badge and a fart can)...

3) Most of us Cyclone fans are actual car enthusiasts, rather than stoplight warriors, and...

4) ...we're better endowed, both mentally and, uh, physically...

5) We don't have the desire to tune our cars to the edge of fragmenting themselves...

6) We absolutely know the answer to the age-old question, "What would Jesus drive?"

7) We suspect that going too far beyond 300hp causes blindness, hairy palms, and random smiting from God.

8) This is our "safe space."

9) We understand that 99.7% of those who talk endlessly about track times will never bring their car to a track. Meanwhile, we are burdened with the knowledge that we are slower to 60 by a whole second behind a GT, and can barely keep up with an EcoBoost. We sit here to bemoan our sad-sack performance in our pity party. Oh, and we can't have a big, pretty screen on our radio, either.

10) We're like that group of odd, misfit chicks in high school who were the ones who actually knew how to f*ck (extremely) well, while the cheerleaders were sexual dunces. How was I gonna correlate that to cars? Oh, crap, I was only reminiscing...

I’ll often say this to defend myself lol.

Annoying person: “You could’ve had a V8”
Me: “NO DUDE, I couldn’t, I didn’t have enough money”

Annoying person: “You should have saved up some more for the GT”
Me: “NO!, if that’s the case you should’ve saved up for a Lamborghini”

Annoying person: “The V6 is a chick’s car, a V8 is a man’s car”
Me: “Xj220 and GTR are V6, the old Grand National/GNX was a V6 Muscle car”

Annoying person: “Who gets a V6 Mustang lol?”
Me: “Uhh, more than half of Mustang owners bought the V6, it’s called volume seller”

Annoying person: “V6 is not a real Mustang”
Me: “Did Ford say that?”

Ive never had a single individual say anything to me in person other then good stuff. Granted, mine deff has a more aggressive appearance then a V6 in factory form so maybe I get a pass lol

6) We absolutely know the answer to the age-old question, "What would Jesus drive"?

Everything you say is correct except your number 6) ....Jesus drove a Honda...he is quoted directly from the Bible..."I will not speak on my own ACCORD...":eyebulge:

The next time a GT owner says that, then reverse it on them: Why didn't you buy a GT350?

I find it funny that the only people that claim to like cloth better than leather are the base model owners.
You do realize those of us with bases had no other option if we didn't want leather, right?

Seriously, the only thing I wanted out of the premium was the extra drives modes and MFT (and thanks to some very clever forums members, one i can already have and the other may be possible as well). Since that was all I wanted, the extra cost for the premium was just not worth it so base it was.

Correct. He owned a Honda, which he didn't like to talk about, hence the quote you cite. His Mustang 3.7 was his daily driver. He'd only drive the Honda to the leper colony on Tuesdays. :D
